I have ordered a 99p sim. I used my dads name and credit card info so will the card be registered to him? If so how do i change it when i get my card, however long it takes, i ordered it yesterday.

The O2 website is getting enhancements just now, hopefully they will be free again after that then i will order 10 and give them to all my friends
how do i know if my sim card is one which allows me to have the 300 free text messages?? And also do the free text messages work on programs such as babecast/babestation etc?...

Did you buy it online? Online Tarrifs have free SMS, otherwise no.
Free SMS's (as stated in the small print) are for person-to-person messages, so if it is a Premium rate shortcode then they wouldn't be included.

Easy ways to find out if you have an O2 online SIM :-
1) Where did you get the SIM from ? e.g. if it came with the phone it will not be.
2) If you have topped up in the last 30 days , find your balance, send a text ,check your balance again to see if you have been charged.
Free texts are only to other UK based mobiles whose numbers begin 07, so if these dodgy programmes use premium rate short numbers they are chargeable
this free txt hoohaa. If you top up your phone on the vernal equinox or on the night of a full moon, whilst wearing a feather hat and chanting the lyrics to 'we built this city' by jefferson airplane you'll get free txts for life.

The free text info has worked on about 1 in 20 Sims that I have had but as I say in the sale, the is no way to determine whether it will work on your own SIM.
I have used the "More than 6 sims to one address" over the past 2 months and you get the same kind of response as u do when ordering to different addresses. i.e. You get about 1 or 2 in every 3 orders sent (sometimes less)
The ebay sale is a 10 day sale and as as u will appreciate I know that once this info is out everyone will be using, selling and posting it so I am advising the following to all buyers
1) Once you have it you don't use it to order a ridiculous amount of disks at once.
2) Do not post it on forums because once it is known to a large amount of people it is possible that O2 will become wise and take steps to rectify the fault
Once the sale ends I will expect payment and the information will be sent via a little program to an email of your choice.
To confirm interest in the item, register your email for the program to be sent, and confirm method of payment please email the following address. Once you have done so you will have the information in your email within 5 hours of the sale closing.

The online sim as supplied by O2 comes in a sealed pack and the instuction book has

But if you bought it off ebay it was probably supplied open without the instruction book

Well thanks to you peeps I've just ordered a lovely 99p SIM and I now eagerly await its arrival! The only problem is that I have a Nokia supplied by Orange at the moment and I'm hoping my new SIM will work in it. Does anyone know if this is a problem?

Yes, normal call/text charges apply.
O2 say that you do have to top-up within 90 days otherwise your SIM will be disconnected and you will lose any remaining credit. Whether they do actually impose this cut-off is another matter as most other service providers keep SIMs active provided a call is made once every 180 days.
