Sony BDP-S350 with Panasonic HD TV
I've got a new Panasonic 37LZD800 tv and would like a Blu ray player. The Sony BDP-S350 gets good reviews so I wonder if it is compatible with the Panasonic? Now when I power up my DVD player (Panasonic) it also switches on the TV and vice versa. Neat, convenient but not essential!

When I turn off my Samsung TV my Panasonic dvd recorder also switches off.
Not sure why.

The BDP-S300 should compliment your Panasonic tv perfectly it is a very good machine tho I have recently had to do a firmware upgrade on it as it wouldnt play two of my bluray discs but they are playing perfectly now. So my advice to you would be go for it

Yes the S350 should be fine with your TV, the control function you desire is CEC through HDMI & whilst not guaranteed to work between suppliers due to different implementations it often does. You will have to ensure the feature is turned on both on the TV & BD player. On the Sony it's called a Bravia Link & on Panasonic a Viera Link.
The sony S350 is a fine BD player & also has a good SD DVD Upscaler.

The Sony BDP S350 also partially works with the VIERA Link on my Panasonic Plasma haven't tried any other functions apart from the Power on.
