I bought some a few days ago and opened it yesterday only to be greeted with a terrible stench...as I didn't have the receipt I chucked it away thought nothing of it and bought some more this afternoon (best before 30 December) - but after opening it smells exactly the same as the last - it stinks!

Has anyone else tried this pasta? Does it normally smell a bit off, or am I just unlucky?

Do you mean pasta made out of eggs, in a packet, or some sort of ready-prepared pasta salad type thing.

Some fresh pastas do smell, it's the egg.

You will get a better taste from cooking dried pasta or making fresh yourself - fresh from a supermarket is not pleasant.

Thanks everyone I guess it is just the egg as I went ahead and ate a platefull yesterday and this afternoon. and...I'm still alive!
