This sounds like a bug actually.

Totally agree. This should be standard, it is with my sky+ box anyway.

Good idea, I 2nd this.

And this. There are so many options with that ethernet interface included, though somehow I doubt we will see many. For your suggestion, it could work perfectly with digiguide, or even setting programs to record over the internet (via mobile etc)
Of course, other great uses for that Ethernet port would be a simple direct connection to a PC, so the box can send movies across directly, or even play certain formats from a selected folder on your PC.
But I really can't see much happening on this port. As Bob once mentioned, they would prefer not to complicate things too much so everyone can use them simply. Then again, when we are talking networking, we sort of expect the people who use this feature to be a few steps above the local granny.
Well, let's be honest. Networking is where it's all at these days. Gone are the days when everything was a stand alone box. This thing has an ethernet port in it, which means it can do pretty much anything. It's all up to what Humax decide to let it do. Maybe Humax should go the way of an App store as well while we're on it.

Why can this box not stream. I thought Slingbox works with pretty much any sat receiver.
