I've found what seems to be a strange side effect of the new teletext channel and the consequent need to rescan. As happened with the previous channel changes it disabled my Diablo CAM - furtunately after the last experience I knew I had to format the CAM and install the latest version of Underworld (169) and it is now working. Am I the only one to have had this problem?

No you're not. I have found that the OS on the Diablo CAM seems to need updating on almost a fortnightly basis, whether anything is changing on the EPG or not
I have no idea why this is and it surely can't be because they keep changing something in the stream that regularly? It isn't caused by my Sky card "going to sleep" either cause I've already disproved that...
Anyone else know?

PS. As a follow up to the above, I have also noticed that I now seem to have lost Fiver and Five USA in non-freesat mode! What on earth is going on?

They changed satellite recently- maybe you need to put it back in the Sky box overnight.

You didn't read what I said... I said I'd lost Fiver and Five USA NOT Chan4 HD and Sky3 (which are STILL working fine as are all the other channels I should get with a Sky card; that needs it...)

Eh? Fiver and Five USA have both moved from a transponder on Astra 2C to 2A, the other channels haven't moved.

Fixed now with yet another non-freesat re-scan... sheesh! I hope they aren't going to do this too often as it's a right royal pain in the rear!

Well, if they move again, it will likely be onto Freesat, so that will solve that problem.

I did a non-freesat scan, (and lost my schedule in the process) but my fiver and fiver usa are still showing up on the old transponder and reporting 'no or bad signal'. Any idea why that is? Does the viewing card need to go back in the sky box as well? Still works for C4 HD.

I did this once too... When you are in non-freesat search mode, make sure that all the options are set to "All" otherwise it won't search for the other transponders... It should find nearly 850 channels on a full search and the new Five channels are right up at the top end (highest 5xxx numbers).

On my box the Five channels including Five US and Fiver are now at 5727 to 5734, but for some reason these also still appear in their old positions, though as gkite found if you click on them you just get Bad or No Signal.
I also found that there is some information on the new viewing cards on my Sky box - click on Viewcard Help to see it. Apparently the new white viewing cards are now being sent out but not all at once and subscribers will get advance warning by a message on the box before their card is dispatched.

.
Yes - I realised this when I went back and had another look yesterday. I'd moved my Fiver etc channels up to the top of my list, so that they are easily accessible when I switch the box to non-freesat mode. As you say, those were still there, so I've deleted those, hunted down the new channels at the locations you've noted, and moved them back up to the top of my channel list where I also have C4 HD. Thanks CPN/Bolander.
