Jvc Dr-mx1 Hdd Make/model?
Hello to all DR-MX1 owners, those of us still left.
Does anyone know what the make/model number of hdd thats fitted to the DR-MX1? Mines going a bit flakey,(bad recording sectors causing play back and dubbing crashes etc). I want to do the swap myself but dont want to disemble the unit right now. ALSO would the hdd need re loading with anything or is it a straight swap? thanks in advance chaps. |

The operating system is on the HDD so you can't just swap it unless you buy an HDD preloaded from JVC. You would need to reload the OS from a special Service CD.

![]() Like most folks I'm rather loathe of having to pay inflated 'repair shop' prices for a fairly simple problem. Trust JVC to put the OS on the hdd and not in some pcb flash memory.
