im trying to upgrade my phone and have been with orange for 9 years i tried to upgrade to the c905 and they told me it was 35 for the phone and 35 a month contract. i dont want to pay that and when i told the cs that i was going to leave they told me if i want to keep my number i would have to ring back for my pack number....are they calling my bluff or will they offer me a good deal just as im about to leave?

Orange are a nightmare for phone deals. If I was you I'd look on websites such as phones4u, etc and get your pack code off Orange.

I was offered an upgrade by Orange and the phone I wanted they were asking £55 for it. So I went to another website who offered me the same phone for free with a PS3 thrown in.
I told Orange the offer and they offered me the phone for £35 and a IPod Nano. So you can guess which one I went for.

it's normal for orange to offer you a PAC as this is needed if you go to another operator and wish to keep your number

I thought it was Porting Authorisation Code?

with orange yoou do need to get the pac code and after a few days someone will probably call you. If they do not then ask for it to be escalated seeing as you have been with them 9 years

Orange, seem to be cutting down on deals, it's only when you get serious and ask for your PAC, they often start to worry they will lose you and maybe offer a deal.
