It was obvious Matthew was going to win, haha.

My two favourites (Lilia and Ian) were in the top three. I'm very happy with that

Not that we are reflective of the general audience, but if I worked for the BBC and saw that, I'd get rid of Hayley, James and Ola, and possibly Brendan and Karen too. Once you get to Camilla, you then have the problem that if she's not in it Ian would also leave, so although I'm not a fan of hers I'd probably keep her in it.

It looks like about 140 votes? And not a single vote for J&O as favourites, plus a low showing overall. Are they really in it just so the male viewers can gawk at Ola?

Thanks for compiling that, it's a great read and must have taken you hours! And Lilia is my favourite too, so I'm glad the poll gave her such a good result. If she had a good dancer next year I bet she could top it

Saturn, would you fancy doing a similar poll for the last 4 celebs of each series?? I'd be really interested in the results of that! I say 4 rather than 3 because some great dancers came 4th (Aled, Louisa, James etc). That would be 20 celebs in total, not including this series because we haven't seen all of their dances yet and we still have time to change our minds about them! If you don't fancy it, would you mind if I pinched your idea and set it up myself???

We had 138 votes

I'm pretty sure a lot of new voters won't know Lilia well enough. With a good run next year she'd be well up there. I do intend to do this at a similar point next year too.

I'm pretty certain i've done this already! Can't remember when though I will check... I think it was after series 4 and then I did each series at a time and then took the top 3 from each vote into a top 12 ever vote.

Final voting was a little different so we don't have percentages. Couples were eliminated 1 day at time and I altered past votes to reflect new rankings

1st Mark Ramprakash & Karen Hardy
2nd Colin Jackson & Erin Boag
3rd Jill Halfpenny & Darren Bennett
4th Louisa Lytton & Vincent Simone
5th Zoe Ball & Ian Waite
6th Aled Jones & Lilia Kopylova
7th Carol Smillie & Matthew Cutler
8th Denise Lewis & Ian Waite
9th Lesley Garrett & Anton du Beke
10th Natasha Kaplinsky & Brendan Cole
11th Darren Gough & Lilia Kopylova
12th Claire Sweeney & John Byrnes

Feel free to do a new vote! It has been 2 years. Although I'd recommend not having more than about 12 in the final. What I would do is have 1 winner qualify per series and then have a wildcard show with 2nd and 3rd from all series, with 6 qualifying from that and then a big grand final. Up to you though

Blimey Saturn, that's mega complicated! Was just thinking of a simple vote like you did for the pros! Think I'll give it a go and see how it pans out, if it doesn't work out - no great disaster! I'll take responsibility for the results!

Aaaargh the dreaded Cutler. It was indeed inevitable he would top this poll. 1st in an amazing 38 votes and bottom only twice. It was always going to be his to lose and in the end he walked it. Last with Siobhan, 5th with Carol, 1st with Alesha (the 2nd best dancer after the amazing Jill Halfpenny)”

In your humble and wrong opinion. Alesha was better than Jill "one dance" Jive-Penny.

I was a huge Alesha fan, but to claim Jill was a one-dance wonder is hilarious. Check out her samba, cha-cha, & paso on youtube - her standard have never since been reached in these dances.

So Saturn's opinion is 'humble' and 'wrong'... by implication you believe your opinion is actually some kind of objective fact then?

Saturn is far from alone in thinking Jill was the best dancer in Strictly's history, and I was a huge fan of Alesha- just overall, Jill edges it for me (on a number of dances, not just one). We are all allowed opinions and they are all valid.
