None of the songs I click on to make a 'genius' playlist are recognised. I have used old and new songs but nothing seems to work. Has anyone else had any luck with this feature?

It works for me on most of my music...there are some exceptions. It has helped me find a few hidden gems in my collection although I don't think the sofware is as effective as Musicip which seems to offer "better" matches

It should get better with time as people rate their collections and more data is gathered.

A friend had their iPod on Genius or whatever it is the other week and, in all honesty, I can't really say I could tell it apart from plain old random play ....

Maybe with your own music collection you notice what it selects more than you do on someone elses?

Works surprisingly well for me with mainly electronic and alternative music. Tending to use this if I want to explore my own (pretty large) collection and last.fm if I want to hear things I may not have.
