It's weird though
Becuase today the 50 strictly facts in the mirror say that they carry on dancing together, then the daily mail says that, i'm confused

But the dialy mail also said she kept in contact with brian what made my other half happy for some reason

Sooner she goes the better as far as I am concerned.!

I think it was very unfair of Karen to blame Gary Rhodes for her wanting to leave SCD.
There are two sides to every story & I just think Karen should have kept quiet.

What has happened in her personal life in no way influences the fact that I don't like the woman, her attitude, her dance style and the fact that she is past her best.

I don't really think she blames him, more the way she reacted on it. That has disappointed her.

The title of the article is so suggestive as in the interview she did not say she blamed him at all.

She doesn't - that's the way the 'journalists' at the Daily Nazi have spun the headline.

I had no idea she'd been through so much. I don't think Gary is the sole reason, but I really admire her for going through all that and still smiling. Karen is my fave pro dancer on strictly, and after reading that made me realise how much of an inspiration she is. I always love seeing her dance, and watching her face light up always makes me smile.
I thoroughly respect her decision, and wish her well with whatever she decides to do.

I would love Karen to stay on Strictly, not only is she one of the best pros on the show she not afraid to speak out and give her opinion. Something lacking in a number of the female pros.

Karen threatens to quit SCD again. And again. And again.

But she never does.

As an aside, what a gorgeous picture of her next to the article!

I do agree that the headline gives a misleading slant to the article, and that reading the rest of it makes it clearer that Karen was unhappy about the way she reacted.

There is a comment in the Daily Mirror to the effect that Gary has continued to have ballroom lessons from Karen because he still wants to learn. I don't know how true it is, but it would be nice if were true

I'm glad to hear she keeps in touch with Brian, as it was a shame he went out so early.

There nothing in this story really. Gary Rhodes was never going to go far in the competition.

Though I have noted Karen hasn't appeared on the programme for a while but I'm assuming that is down to the number of pros available yo dance or appear on take 2.

She has been through a lot in her life and for that I am sorry for her, but after having loved her so much in her first two series, she really has come across as a right cow to Gary, it's not his fault he is rubbish at dancing, you win some and lose some Karen, you can't always have a great dancer.

Nicole was sacked to meet Karen's demands, she didn't get on with Brendan so Nicole was replaced so she could dance with Matt, and now she's threatening to leave cos she didn't like Gary. I bet some people were on her side about the Brendan thing, but now I am starting to think it is a Karen thing!

That is absolutely not true, Nicole not being asked back had nothing to do with Karen

I agree with those who have said Karen in no way blames Gary for wanting to quit - it's her reaction that she was disappointed in (by all accounts she's a wonderful and much loved teacher). Typical news papers trying to put a spin on things.

I hope Karen stays another year, but if she does choose to leave I wish her all the best for the future. I owe her (and Ramps) a lot for a number of reasons and never had the oportunity to say so when I was at the SCD ball over a week ago.

You have totally misread that article and nowhere does it state that "Gary Rhodes drove her to quit".

The fact is she has just started a private dance club which has taken up loads of her time (and probably cash too!) and I am sure she needs to invest loads of time in that which may not leave time for SCD. And it was only in last week's Mail that Gary revealed that both he and his wife were going to have private lessons with Karen in the New Year. Where does that leave your assertion that Gary is an "arrogant a***"? Quite clearly Karen Hardy does not share that view otherwise she would hardly agree to teach him away from the cameras. Her teaching normally is confined to professional, high achieving dancers.

If I'm worng I accept it but |I'm sure on here p[eople were discussing that Karen had refused to dance with Brendan.

I think BMLisa might be making a link between today's reports in the Daily Mirror that Karen refused to dance with Brendan anymore and Nicole's not being asked back. However even if the DM report is true, there isn't necessarily a direct link since I think the new professionals were being brought in anyway and Karen could have been partnered with Brian.

That is true but why would that be a reason to not ask Nicole back Why pick Nicole and not another one or why not give Karen a new pro. I really do not see why they would have sacked Nicole so Karen could dance with Matt.

yes she did but Nicole could have danced with Brendan couldn't she - IF she had been invited back. It's not Karen's fault Nicole wasn't asked back
