Whatever your opinion of JS, his departure has not only killed the fun, it's killed the competition.
Who cares who wins? It's tainted now anyway.

I'm getting bored because it's soooooo long, too long! I'm loving it but I think 16 couples was too many.

Are you kidding?

This is possibly the best climax to any series.

This is a kind of irony thing? (genuine question )

No. I think it's great - no idea who's going to win.

Hear hear - I posted on another thread last night in a similar vein - it is just missing that "something" and quite possibly it IS JS - or the fact it has been going just too long this series. Whatever way I am somewhat disappointed in things this year - and I AM a die hard SCD fan and have been from day dot

Agree I'm normally a massive fan of Strictly and will choose to watch it over anything but tonight I found myself hitting the mute button a few times and even flicking over occasionally when I got bored.

Yep - I've got bored since John left. I turned it on a couple of dances in tonight but turned the sound down and put music on. The only dancing I watched was a bit of Lisa and Brendan. I'll still read the spoiler thread for the results though.

No it got really good as soon as John left. I'm loving it! This week particularly was fab.

But then I don't get off on rubbish dancing...

Absolutely.

They're all really evenly matched now apart from Christine - and any of them could win it. It's incredibly close. The performances on the day have never mattered so much. Could be an Austin/Lisa final now...

I'm not as interested since the appalling treatment of JS; the whole business left a very nasty taste in the mouth.

I watched tonight but I thought the show very bland.

I will vote for Christine because I like her. Until tonight Lisa, just didn't engage me:But I think her dancing deserves another bite of the cherry, so I'll vote for her too.

I was also very angry about the JohnSergant situation. I posted several threads on boycotting last weeks show. I didn't vote but ended up watching the show when I realized John and Christina were doing one last dance. Anyway, my point is that it is now over and its time to move on. There are 5 great couples left and they've earned the right to be there.

I'm not bothered at all about John Sargeant's hissy fit.

It is having to put up with the very boring antics of the judges - especially Len Goodman - that is tarnishing the show for me this year.

They are more interested in shouting over each other's comments than they are in ensuring that the celeb dancers get the sort of constructive criticism they need.

It is getting to seem like a poor man's end-of-the-pier show recently - and I mean Hastings pier, not Blackpool!

Have to disagree, John should have gone after his first Latin dance and definitely after his plea about the public saving him...they say Tom is smug well he has nothing on John...the joke wore thin for me after his Paso and unfortunalty the tabloid press pounced and made a mountain out of a mole hill.

SCD is not about 1 celebrity and once John quit the show has got back to what it does best. so no I haven't lost interest and I am looking forward to next week already.

I'm enjoying it more every week. I loved Geth last year and really wanted him to win, this year I don't have a favourite at all, so it's far less stressful waiting for the spoiler to arrive. Its really nice just enjoying it and not worrying that my favourite is going to be kicked off.

Agreed.

It's the antics on dancefloor that's got me gripped.
The fight for the crown this year is the toughest yet.
SCD is still must watch TV for me
