I had a bit of a flash of inspiration tonight- had been puzzling as to why i haven't been enjoying watching them - and I know think it's because Brendan needs to be about 4 inches taller for them to look right together.........

Had Jodie not been in the show this year, Lisa would have been brilliant with Ian. That said, I think Lisa and Brendan make a good partnership. Brendan's done a great job at bringing her to a high standard.

I started a thread on this last week. Lisa should have been with Matthew.

Didn't Lisa have a little strop before the series started because she wanted to be paired with Ian or it could have been Matt? That's why she reacted in a 'negative' way when she found out that Brendan was her partner.

To be honest I don't blame her. I wouldn't want Brendan either. He's also too short for her.

She absolutely should have been with Matthew. I'm sure the BBC overlooked the height issue & gave her to Brendan because they thought there might be intrigue. But Brendan simply isn't tall enough or long enough limbed to get round her.

I think they paired her an Brendan because they were more of a 'headline' couple. She is too tall for him

I've heard nothing about her "strop" - how would you know? She didn't react in a negative way to Brendan she just asked him if he was tall enough, which he's not.

I also think they always put Brendan with the sexy'dolly birds' as my mum calls them because of his bad boy/lothario repuation. But thats worthless now because he has got a serious girlfriend and isnt intrested in anyone else.

I don't know for sure but I remember reading something on here. As he opened the door, her first reaction was shock and she said 'oh no.' I would consider this somewhat negative although she was doing it in a jokey way.

I have to agree with whoever said that he's done a good job bringing her to a high standard - I think Matt may have been too nice to crack the whip as Brendan's done.

I think that Lisa is a bit tall for Brendan. However, they've made the best of it, and they do look good together.

Yep I agree. Matthew's very popular - quite rightly - I totally love him. I think part of Lisa's unpopularity - apart from the envy of her life - is that Brendan is quite a hard person to like. I respect his dancing & choreography - & I think he's taught Lisa really well - but all the competitiveness & the tantrums are tiresome.

Matt & Lisa would have been great.

Yep I'd heard that, I think she thought she'd be paired with Ian and was gutted when she wasn't (can't say I blame her!). He was on Through the Keyhole so they must've already met. And wasn't Jodie a late entry?

Lisa is too tall for Brendan and that doesn't help her posture. But, to be fair to Brendan, he's not doing a bad job this year, and he's toned it down a bit so is a bit more likeable.

Trouble is when it comes to being likeable, all the tall girls are going to want to dance with Ian in future, especially after this year's showing.

Brendan is doing a better job with her than I expected him to, but agree she would have been much better off height wise with Matthew. Someone should take half an inch or so off her shoes so it's less obvious!

Definitely too tall for Brendan. So glad she wasn't paired with Matthew though as he's my favourite pro and I wouldn't be able to support him dancing with her.

I don't think Christine would have worked with Brendan though (he needs to with someone who is a strong enough character to take his pushiness/tough love (delete according to view of Brendan you have) and Jodie's too tall not have been paired with Ian.

erm, hate to point this out but he hasn't had a tantrum this year and ALL the pro's are competitive - it's in their nature, they wouldn't have got to the very top in dancing if they weren't!
