I think the overall placing by the judges tonight was ok.

I happen to like all the contestants for one reason or another but I do think Christine is the weakest dancer.

Dance is very subjective and having watched 100's of dance competitions I can have a totally differing opinion to the people I am with but I am normally in agreement with the adjudicators.

The one thing I hate on here is how personal the posters are about some of the contestants. I admire all of them to get up there in front of millions of viewers and do something that isn't in their comfort zone.

I was rather unimpressed with the judging tonight. The only judge whose opinion I really respect is Craig.

Rachel & Lisa Latin - OVERMARKED!!

Christine Latin - WAYY UNDERMARKED!!

Austin Latin - Should Of Got 40!!

And Its A Rachel v Tom Dance Off!! (yn)

I do still respect Craig, but when he rates Rachel Paso's and Tom's Waltz at the same mark as Christine's Latin, I do worry if he's starting to lose the plot slightly.

They are all doing my head in............such a waste of seats....they should give them to the public....im sure they would do a better job

The muppet show would be better

Len was right. Austin's Paso only deserved '8'. like the Cha cha cha last week it lacked content. Erin was arrogant as she is not a latin specialist and Len does know what he's talking about. Bruno is not known for consistency. The other judges were O.K. on the other dances apart from Craig's '7' for Tom's Waltz, which is probably why Len gave a '10'.

Dreadful judging, but overall Lisa deserves her place at the top of the leaderboard.

If you can't see it to judge you deduct a point- you don't just give them the benefit of the doubt”

How could anyone possibly knock marks off for errors they didn't see?

She wears what she's given.

have to agree

[quote]Because an experienced dancer like Len is capable of making an educated guess about a dancer's footwork based on the movement of their body.

Ah - so if a dancer came on the competition dance floor with a skirt covering her feet that would be allowed?

I think not.

Agree - if they need to see they need to tell the costume dept.

The judging being all over the place though means the result is random and if its random they might as well cut cards in September.

I suggest from next week, someone puts a wooden screen up in front of the judge's desk. As they can't see the dances, they can't see the mistakes - so 10s all round.

I was less impressed than usual with Craig. '10' for Austin's paso and '7' for Tom's Waltz. Craig, Arlene and Bruno made fools of themselves.

Len has lost the plot - Austin's Paso got a standing ovation in our house for its WOW factor.

Tom has been regularly undermarked imo, never gets the credit he deserves And the exact opposite for Austin, and Rachel to an extent, both been overmarked.

Tom was ridiculously undermarked tonight, and Austin's Paso Doble was not definately overmarked.
Lisa deserves her place at the top but her score was too high, I think.

The first thing I noticed about Austin's Paso was the lack of DANCE content! The rest was brilliant but Paso is not Flamenco. Only Len marked that correctly according to the dance style rules.

Sad to say but Tom was really not up to his usual standard tonight (the cold really did him a disservice). I have a really horrible feeling he will be up against Lisa in the dance off and lose as overall Lisa was on form tonight

Yet all in all Christine should be the one to go as she has peaked and is going no further ability wise.

I can only imagine Craig was watching Austin's pecs and not the dance”

I totally agree on all points.

It's like they (judges) are saying 'We can do farce too! Nah nah ne nah nah!" Tonight's voting just devalued all previous 10's. Shame on you especially, Craig.

Lisa was way overmarked to keep her safe. The judges knew she'd be in the danceoff unless she was at the top.

Exactly.

Surely the judges are supposed to remain unbiased and mark on what they actually see, not what they want to happen/who they want to see in the final.

Maybe it is time to get new judges?

Getting a 10 this series is so different to getting a 10 in previous series. Also this series mroe than any you can see the judges favourites - it is blatently obvious. THIS IS NOT THEIR JOB! They are paid to mark the dancing - and to remain impartial (or as impartial as possible).

Sorry Wiz, but I thought Len was the only one NOT to lose the plot.
Austin offered great theatre but little dance content...imo

this series is very average and no dance has been at the level of a ten.....when I think if the dances others have had to do to get a 10.

Judges are ruining it.......

I have not been a Lisa fan and certainly not a Brendan fan, but they were the best by a country mile tonight.
The judges' marks were weird, but the order was right for me
