I think they had been told to be nice to Lisa this week.
I did wonder.

Thing is they can't make the public like her. She will go eventually because she will soon come up against a better dancer in the dance off.

No but they can certainly make sure she reaches the final.

I think Lisa did brilliantly to come back this week and dance so well after being in the dance off for the last two weeks, and I can see why the judges would want to protect her, if they did that.

My personal opinion is she was the best dancer of the night. I was disappointed with Tom's scores and thought Austin a little overmarked for his Latin, but the crowd loved it so what do I know?

Christine was the weakest, but I doubt she will be in the dance off tonight. I have a sneaky feeling it will be Tom and Rachel, and I think Tom will go. Rachel did dance well tonight, as she usually does.

Hey HB! <smooch>

How nice to run into you again

Not been on BB forums since the series ended. Was hoping to see Suzi-Q on the Strictly boards as I know she's a massive fan of the show too

Who are you supporting? Let's see if we have the same taste again!

I like them all Sid but I have been supporting Jodie and Christine mostly.

Who do you think will win?

Did nobody else notice the HUGE gap between Rachel and Vincent in the waltz? I could see right between them. If anyone else had gapped like that it would have been mentioned and marked down. They really really want to keep her safe.

Oh gosh, no I didn't - maybe the Judges decided to just overlook it!

What happenes if he's up against Rachel- they will all protect Rachel of course
If Tom is up against Rachel, then he is toast unless Rachel blows it in the dance-off.

She will of course dance her high scoring Waltz and Tom will have a choice of either the Waltz or Samba. If she is saved, it will be solely because her Waltz was better than either of Tom's two dances.

However, I think you're worrying unduly. IF the voting numbers published in The People provide a good approximation for this weeks voting then Tom and Austin will occupy the top two places in the public vote. Christine will then only be able to achieve a maximum of 4 points in total. And so will definitely be in the dance-off. Judges will save anyone over Christine.

I rather think Austin may have it 'in the bag' too but, hey, you never know. The show's not over till the fat lady sings as the saying goes so it could still be anybody's.

She questioned Len's criticism. I call that arrogance from someone who's not that hot at Latin. Brendan has not shown any arrogance this series.
I was a little suprised as Erin doesn't tend to do that. She is however human and after seeing her partner just pull off an amazing performance, to be critised like that must be tough. I know she is not so hot at Latin but I don't think she would have reacted like that if Len hadn't have been the first judge to comment. I don't really mind Lens comments as hopefully he has caused even more people to vote for them.

tHIS IS WHAT i MEAN

1. L+B = 5 + 2/1 = 7/6
2.A+E = 4 +3 = 7
3.R+V = 3 + 1/2 = 4/5
4.T+C = 2 + 4/5 = 6/7
5.C+M = 1 + 4/5 = 5/6

They are risking Tom in the bottom two- they are taking a risk with the dancers and mucking about playing their power games.

That is surely wrong
True but are you really arguing he danced better than Lisa, Rachel and Austin? I think Lisa was overmarked and so was Austin but not enough to alter the order that much.

I think of the pros, Erin is one of the most outspoken. Not only did she do it over Peter Schmeichel, but she defended the public vote over Julian Clary - even when he made the finals over Aled Jones. She also questioned publicly Zoe Ball's right to a 10. Forget the dance, but do remember Erin pointing out it was less than perfect so undeserving of a 10.

I'd say yes. I think Lisa's overmark combined with Tom's undermark affected the scoreboard. For me, Rachel, Austin and Tom deserved to share top spot comparing the dances.

As I said, that is just personal opinion, though.

Lisa as predicted was blatantly over marked, I thought she was good ,but she lacks the wow factor, I will be slated for this, but I thought her foxtrot was mediocre and awkward, was completely stunned at her marks.

I wouldn't slate you but I would disagree - for me she was the best dancer of the night and her foxtrox was lovely

There was a grim predictability about Lisa's marks. *Sigh of sighs*, frankly

Did she do that on the dancefloor in front of the judges? I'm now not sure but I thought she usually waits until she is in Tess's room or ITT to offer her opinions.

I am absolutley furious with those idiots called judges- they I feel decided to fix the leaderborad to get rid of Tom- and that is wrong- they are not playing fair within the spirit of the competition.

tHEY KNOW WHO THEY WANT TO WIN ANDIT ISN'T TOM
I agreed they want to get rid of Christine. But I disagree posters here saying Lisa's cha-cha was mediocre! It doesn't have the Beyonce thing to 'cover up' the multitude of sins in Alesha's sometimes weak footwork, and still Alesha got 3 tens.

Lisa danced a PROPER cha-cha. I am NOT one of her fans and haven't voted for her, but she deserved every single mark in her cha-cha.

As for Tom. I really think he's in a danger zone. His Moonriver actually almost made a grown man like me cry. I love that music! Always wanted someone to dance a waltz to it. Tom has fulfilled my dream. And I voted for him 7x! This is the second time I voted for him! Last week's Sam-Strachan Tango, and this week he's the romantic lead. Faults in his pivots (I said this about his pivots last week when he did the Tango and now the judges picked up on this, were they reading this forum?!) aside, it's a 10 for me because it tugged my heart string.

I hope he pulled through. Though I worry if he's in the dance-off with Rachel, then Rachel's waltz will cream him!

Nonsense! Her foxtrot might be a tad overmarked, but her cha-cha score was spot-on. Are you really watching the same show?!

imo Tom's waltz was the performance of the night, he has been consistently undermarked. I really hope he isn't bottom 2.

What load of rubbish! That Paso has loads of content for a celeb to achieve! All the Spanish lines, the Flemenco, the stomping (recalled John Sargent's 'march'? John's march is the anti-thesis of Austin's fantastic work). That distintive Paso jump in the beginning. AND, after Arlene's constant criticism of his hands, he managed to pull it off.

Len was OUT OF ORDER with that OTT criticism. Erin was right to question his sanity, he's the head-judge for crying out loud!
