Getting on my wick
sophisticate

Len Goodman used to be my favortie judge but I'm finding him rude and obnoxious. I know Craig can be a bit mean with the points but there is no need to keep interupting him. I think if we tallied all the positives Craig has made they might just outnumber Len's.

Couldn't agree more- I was so annoyed that he kept interupting Craig who had more than valid points to make- same as Len!

Craig doesn't interupt the others as much and he doesn't give out 10's unless every thing is perfect in his opinion. Which is why you should give out 10's not because someone (and his wife) goes on and on and on about wanting one. I used to really like Len but he has go worse and worse I think from series 4.

I don't have anything to add but I really like the saying "getting on my wick".

I thought about using pickling my walnuts but it didn't seem appropriate.

I totally agree with the OP. All this interrupting and shouting is very annoying. Even Arlene tried to stop the arguments this week.

I Have said for ages that Len is the worst judge. If anything for his lack of manners towards the other judges. The fact that he has the most experience of Ballroom compared to the rest doesn't mean he can act the way he does.

HOWEVER I was in agreement with him tonight over the lack of content in Austin's Paso. And it was refreshing to hear him finally admit to giving out 10's for performances that were flawed.

Len has been truly awful for two series now.

He used to come across as the 'favourite uncle', now he's just not a very nice man. I'd be more than happy to see him go.

I'd blame the stress of commuting back and forth to the USA, but no-one made him do it.

Agreed. This Saturday, once again, he interrupted Craig and started shouting. So, so fed up with him.
And what's up with the "I saw the mistakes but I'm going to ignore them"??? Was that supposed to be another "I'm the nice one" comment? More like being unfair to the other contestants, I'd say.

Yep i agree with everyone else - he interupts everyone and is unaware that the voting CAN go below a SEEEEEEEEEE-VEEN. Craig can be picky, but I do genuinely believe that he is now doing it fairly, and not just wanting to be Mr. Nasty. I think if he sees a 10, he wont give it a 9.

Len was right about A&E today though.

I can't believe people think Craig's a fair judge, he's the most inconsistent of the lot. Just because he uses more paddles doesn't mean he's using them correctly.

I used to really like Len but at times this series he has made me . I don't like the way he seems to have a go at Craig at times; he is entitled to his opinion as much as Len & out of all the judges he seems to talk the most sense.

It also seems that if Len disagrees with what the other judges say then he has to make it known. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion at the end of the day so I wish he would just accept what they say & agree to disagree.

Personally I think Arlene is the fairest recently. She is usually fair - its very rare will she go more than 1 mark under or over a goodscoe.

I sometimes wonder if he's been at the juice before the show starts

I think that Len has been influenced by his time in America. On DWTS, there is rarely any technical comment at all unless it is something really, really outrageous like Lance and Lacey's shoeless rumba.

I think Len just wants to say 'very good' or 'I loved it' which gives the celebs and pros nothing to work with. Perhaps Craig is over-detailed but at least, he is clear about WHY he is giving a certain mark and his marks and comments 'hang together' better than most of the judges.

His obsession with ladies knickers is most distateful and his comment to Austin last night about him looking like a waiter handing out food. Sheesh! If Craig had said that he would have ripped his head off.

I used to really like Len but time he was told to go home and pickle his walnuts.

Which makes him look an even bigger pickled walnut !

My post isn't about the actual scores each judge gives but about the comments they make after each performance:

I've noticed that although Craig nearly always finds something to criticise, most times he also ends his comments with something positive. I haven't noticed that with the other judges - I feel that either they criticise or they praise but they don't do both, which Craig does seem to try to do.

Although, having said that, Arlene does try to explain exactly what it is the celebs need to work on. While I don't particularly like Arlene, when she's not being unpleasant just for the sake of it, her advice usually seems to be worth listening to.

Len is definitely losing the plot in the way he keeps attacking the other judges when they don't agree with him. It's unprofessional and, to put it in language Len can understand, it's getting on my wick!

I used to like Len but over the last couple of series he has lost the plot.

He's unprofessional, inconsistant and I think DWTS has completely turned his head. For me he is the WORST judge on the panel when he should be the BEST

I'm obviously not the only one who is finding his abuse of Craig (who I feel has the right ideas but can be a bit heavyhanded with it at times) to be GETTING ON MY WICK!

I think Len should give up judging and go into pantomime

Have to say I agree, I've found myself agreeing with Craig more than ever this year; whereas Len used to be the voice of reason and Craig Mr Nasty, Craig is now the voice of reason and Len has become a sullen and arogant old man.

With the exception of his comments to Mark Foster being a bit OTT, I don't think Craig has really been that bad this series. He is fussy and pedantic but he does try to be contructive in most cases.
