I know their tango wasnt brilliant, but we all knew, i think themselves included that it wasnt going to be their strongest dance! But THEIR SALSA WAS FANTASTIC AND WRONGLY WAYYYY UNDERMARKED!!!!! Poor girl, there was nothing wrong with it, perhaps a little bit, only a little bit more hip movement. However, What do the poor souls have to do now to get a decent and rightly deserved mark for their dances????
30 was ridiculous, it was far much better then Rachels paso yet she gets the higher score, i just dont get it?!?!

I hope and pray she is through to next week, she was so underamrked and it was not fair on them!!

Who agrees, i only want people who agree and no harsh comments please!!”

I agreed with the judges about the tango, it was as bad as her paso, she just does not suit angry dances, but much as I think she deserves to go this week, I really thought she deserved way more for her salsa, and I do think the judges were marking to ensure Christine is in the bottom two!

I wonder if that's because she's had NO encouraging comments from the judges. Perhaps there's a ratio between improvement, confidence and encouragement. If that's the case then with little encouragement from the 4 - I reckon she's done very well.
Personallly if it had been me I would have found it very difficult to carry on after Jodie had been evicted...but god bless her she's the only one not disolved into tears and not used some pale excuse (good god Tom's cough was laughable!) to excuse her dances.

Christine if you go tonight you've been a perfect role model; never a tear, never a tantrum, never a cold and good grief you actually work as well! Wonder what you would have achieved if you'd had all day to train?

Fingers crossed for you babe!

Cx”

what she has done has been amazing

she is a true sport

only trained half a day each day and never milks it or moans when it gets tough.

yes i wasn't sure of her when she started on the one show but she is great

and her personality is great

the judges always like to pick on somebody oh well

Hope Christine goes she thinks it's about Big grin instead of dancing.

What a mean post. She has done wonders considering she had no previous experience. So she smiles? Since when did that become the crime of the century?

I would rather see Tom or Lisa go than Christine. I though her Latin was fab tonight!

True - I love Christine, but at some points it looked as though Matt was dragging a blow up doll around the floor during the Tango

.....and so do I.....not a fan of JS.....but have really enjoyed watching Christine and Jodie even though I and they knew they were`t the best Dancers......but that`s what SCD is all about....I like Lisa as well......God that`s all the underdogs......I`d have loved a Christine;Jodie;Lisa final.

I thought she was probably marked around about right, but even with mark more from each judge for both dances she'd still have finished last. She comes across as a lovely girl and watching her develop has been one of the highlights of this series but I think she is a notch or two below the standard of all the other dancers now. She really should be in the dance off.

The only dance I really had an issue with the marking on was Austin's Paso. I saw Len applauding the opening and I was with him there, but like him I didn't see an awful lot happen after that. Arguably there was even less Paso Doble going on than in Rachel's dance.

I think she should leave to be honest. She is the worst one out of all the contestants.

I'm sorry but she got distinctively whiny about her qs comments - her fans think I'm churlish to point this out but I have my reasons. I know I'm a bit hard on her on occasion i.e last week when I was a tad bitter that Jodie didn't survive when Christine was bottom of the leaderboard but although she seems a nice enough person it annoys me how some are under the mis-conception that she has no faults and alone has the 'right' attitude. She's also not being that under-marked or at least not that drastically. Her tango was far too floppy this week just as her paso was and although her salsa was quite good I still think she's the weakest link and needs to go. She certainly deserved to make it to last week but even she's acknowledging that she's playing catch up to everyone else now.

Apologies, a very late contribution but I have been out and only just had a chance to watch tonight's show.

I am one of those fans who has picked you up on this before, katmobile, and yes, I do still find it rather churlish (to use your word) to keep on harping a reaction from her second week dancing, especially given the weepiness of both Lisa and Rachel in this week's VTs.

That being said, I do think that her position on the leader board was correct. Her paso was too soft in the spine and the competition in the latin was very strong. I don't see why should shouldn't have got more marks for the salsa, which was great fun, very energetic and felt like the party dance it was, but that is a matter of opinion.

So, yes, I do think that this is Christine's week to go. The competition is just too strong now. But I can live with that, especially given that the judges chose to be constructive in their criticism this week and pick out positives as well as negatives. Which is far more than can be said for some of the posters on here. Christine has improved immensely over the course of the series and did herself proud tonight in the face of an extremely competitive field (to wildly mix my metaphors). That is all most of her fans ever asked of her and it is a huge achievement in and of itself.

Where has anyone said she has no faults?

Whilst we may quibble about a mark or two in my opinion sadly Christine was the weakest of the celebs left in the competition. Craig's comments after the tango were blunt but I think accurate.

I also wonder if keeping her in the show simply to spite the judges is actually being fair to Christine. Unfortunately she does look out of her depth.

Christine has been a breath of fresh air in this competition,I didn't know of her before SCD,but what a really lovely person, with personality to match.
Both she and Matt have been my favourite couple, throughout this series, they are the ones I've voted for..Having said that, the tango was not good tonight, passable for social dancing, but the salsa I thought she was undermarked.
Whatever happens now she's been wonderful in the show, achieved far more than I ever thought she'd be capable of doing ,and have thoroughly enjoyed Christine and Matt every week, her progress has been fantastic.

But the others always smile and never complain too. Anyway...(as Len would say perhaps)...'This isn't a smiling contest it's a dance contest' (If it was 'a 'smiling contest however, I would vote for Lisa's smile, it's more 'sparkly' and natural. Sometimes Christine's smile seems to have been 'painted' on. And I don't think it's fair to criticise the others for working too hard. Chrisine knew what she was getting herself into. (I hope I haven't been too harsh).

I don't think Lisa is very good at conveying genuine emotion, hence me wanting to slap her with almost every face she pulls. (I hope I haven't been too harsh). The others do smile, but I have definitely heard Austin complain, be it subtly. Yes she was the weakest of the dancers left, but she was the most joyful. I could swear off Strictly from now on if she goes, but that'd be a lie. However I would not particularly enjoy seeing any of the other 4 winning, as I get the feeling they are just using this a a vehicle to further their careers, and expect to do well each week.

Do we know who chooses the music? It's sometimes so inappropriate. I felt that C and M were handicapped by having to perform to a song which had neither the rhythm nor the spirit of the tango, whereas Austin had traditional music which embodies the spirit of the paso.

Tango was slightly overmarked, it was completely woeful, and the salsa was about right , probably her best latin, but nowhere near the standard of the others. She's completely outclassed now and doesn't appear to be progressing and getting better. She was clinging onto Matt in her first dance, and is still clinging onto him now.

Christine seems to have a natural joy in life, and this comes across in this competition, but much as I love her for that, this is a dance competition. She deserved to be at the bottom of the leaderboad on her performances tonight.

I cant believe how the judges treated christine yesterday.... Ok, her Tango wasnt the best, but they still could have given her some encouragement which they didnt. Was it so hard for them not to give her any? Her salsa was much much better than either Lisa's, Rachel's, Austin's & Tom's latin dances.

Lisa is just soo smug now (did any of you notice her face when they read out the leaderboard scores? She wasnt smiling, but then realized the camera was on her and suddenly gave a huge smile). As for Tom's flu - give me a break it was so fake.

Sorry if my post came out so negatively, its just that ive lost interest in strictly now.
Its so obvious now (even if it wasnt before) that the judges have their favourites and are trying to get their own way who goes into the final and who doesnt.

Strictly is supposed to be about dance/technique/wow factor/likeability. All of which Alesha and Mark had and to some extent Gethin and Matt DiA. None of the celebs this year have that im sorry to say.

And just to add, I cant remember who (was it Tom?) but Craig went on and on about the cape being used in the Paso (which he didnt like). Why didnt he say anything about it with Rachel and Vincent who also used the cape at the beginning? Did anyone else find it odd?

Lisa has been on the point of leaving the competition for the last two weeks and must be a nervous wreck about it all I don't see how you can read smug into that...damned for tears damned for holding it together and putting a brave face on it all

I love Christine and Matthew btw

edited: realised put a huge spoiler in there
