It was very unprofessional!!
Saying how she needs to take it seriously and actually do the technique,

poor Christines face.. She was taking it seriously, just not as competively as some of the others..

I still cant believe she said she isnt taking it seriously.. and that she should stop smiling,, I COMPLETELY DISAGREED!! that smile made the show IMO

(+ Her salsa & Austins Paso )

Where is your evidence for this - other than sour grapes. Christine wasn't my favourite but she accepted defeat with graciousness and gratitude and I felt the acknowledgement that it was her time to go and she'd reached her limits - it's a shame some of her fans aren't more like her.

Arlene's comparison of Lisa and Christine was entirely unnecessary and unprofessional (the comparison had already been made in the scores - why say anything more?)

The implication that Christine wasn't working on her dancing was, quite simply, unforgivable. It was not only quite patently false, but also a huge insult to Matthew's professionalism as her teacher and Christine's professionalism as a television performer.

I seem to recall Arlene making similar comments about Alesha's footwork last year. She has only become worse in the interim. Her 'advice' is lazy, her critique increasingly biased. Unlike the other judges, who I have all disagreed with at one point or another, I can see no redeeming features in her any more. I don't know who I will support now that Christine and Matthew are out, but I do know that I will no longer be listening to Arlene at all!

Sorry, rant over! But oh, I needed to get that off my chest!

I didn't read it like that - merely Arlene saying Lisa had improved and Christine hadn't. However if you are right then I agree with you I think like with JS Arlene shouldn't say someone is lazy because they aren't coming up to the same standard is - Mark Foster and Andrew Castle proved you can work like a dog and still be worse than everyone else. I had an instructor accuse me of not trying because I wasn't getting something and I think it's totally unfair and unprofessional.

It could simply be a matter of interpretation, but that is very much how it came across to me, I'm afraid, and from other comments I have seen, I don't think I was the only one. Arlene really has gone down in my estimation after last night.

For me there is no 'merely'. Why do you think the audience reacted the way it did and Bruce suggested Arlene didn't go out to the car park alone? Negative comments don't normally get that kind of reaction - it was way out of order.

I wish there was a direct way to complain to ITT rather than the 'forums' because I think complaining to the BBC might be going too far??!

It was the JS thing all over again. Christine had played by the rules, done her best, been voted back in by the public and Arlene criticises her for it. All this, less than two weeks after she said she wouldn't want the rules to ever change?!

I really didnt dig her tango which she had no hold in, i know sometimes the man leads but you have to hold yourself, her salsa i thought was actually ok and very lively. But what i didnt like was the way Arlene was putting her down so much, i dont think there is any need of that constant critisism, she hasnt got John Sergeant to pick on so starts on someone else. Oh btw im not a Christine fan neither but found her a very dignified person throughout. Keep on smiling Christine.
