Alex performance is sooo overrated
I want the best to win x factor whoever that be i don't mind
but these judges overrate most of the performances and they did it again with Alex's second performance of Beyonce's Listen. I understand it's on of the biggest soundtracks of our time but there's no need to overrate a performance because she was struggling in many notes. Beyonce's live version, PERFECTION http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=3nCy2TdMc5k |

I'm with you. They keep giving her big diva songs to sing, exactly as they sing them, and she's always falls just a hair short.

Well I must be the opposite to everyone because I thought it was one of her best, her past performances haven't really swayed me before, but I gave 1 vote for her tonight.

What matters is what connects with an individual.
The same performance can be both good and bad at the same time to two different people and both be perfectly right. This is something that sadly is not paid attention to on this board of OOT fandom. |

Individuality never wins though does it? If that was the case Diana would win. Big diva vocals and a huge production appeals to everyone, adults, kids, teenagers, old people, etc. Everyone LOVES a big huge voice. Alexandra will abseloutely 110% win this competition.

I agree she was definitely struggling with the top range of the song. Her higher register isnt that great. Sorry to the die hard fans, just my opinion.
But the performance was still great, i personally prefer the 'dancer diva' alex (love that side of her), i think thats where her strength is, as the 'all rounder'. Ballads for her are good but for me they fall abit flat, almost there but not quite, otherwords they arent that memorable, i put this down to her range. BUT Overall the performance was still great and million times better than some others still in the comp. |

I think Alex is fantastic and if she's always coming up short against Beyonce that is hardly a criticism.
With the right record company and management - she could be a world class star. I think the X Factor is actually holding her back. She may not win but she is clearly ready to be unleashed as a star. |

Same, I thought it was a good performance, but when they were all taken aback crying and stuff, I was a bit like 'What? What did I miss? :S'

I'm not an Alex fan at all, but I thought she was outstanding tonight, herself and Ruth really shone and over shadowed the others.
Alex second song was amazing!! Not the kind of music I personally am into, but she nailed it. |

I guess you're an Eggnog or Diana fan, but it won't help you much. they will both dissapear from our screen soon and we will never hear them again.
Alexandra has delivered a real diva performance, and she's here to stay. she will have a very successful career. |

She sings okay but there has always been something missing in performances. I find she has a very ordinary voice. Nothing special.

Alexandra sings really well but she just doesn't have a distinctive enough voice to make it as a star imo. There are thousands of singers out there and if you haven't got that special vocal identity you just don't cut it.
Who can actually remember Alexandra's style of singing? I certainly can't |
