anyone else just finding Brucey boring and plain annoying?

He's lost his comedy but he's trying to cling on

No, I still love good ol' Brucie .

I was out yesterday and recorded it and just whizzed past his tedious and irritating preambles. Best way to watch it.

Trouble with Brucie is that he thinks he's the star of the show. Instead of just doing the intros he tries to be funny and ends up embarassing most people.
Those crap "jokes"he tells and then he makes it worse by trying to explain them or moaning that they didn't get a big enough laugh.
Afraid this is his last SCD.

As soon as we get someone new, we'll moan about them too.

Of course. Otherwise, where's the FUN?

According to the betting on one site the favourite to replace Brucie is that geezer off of Ch4. You know, the one that used to be Lily Savage, that's it, Paul O'Grady.
Heaven help us, I'd rather keep Bruce.

So do I. SCD just won't be the same once he's gone.

SC has degenerated so much now that I don't watch it. I don't give a monkey's whether he stays or goes. I understand the programme is now just a slanging match between the judges who are trying to out "celeb" each other (with the exception of craig) I don't know, I don't watch it. I can't even bear to FF through the programme to just the dancing like I did during the past two seasons of it.

Bring back the proper Come Dancing (which is just about dancing) and not this dire entertainment show it has become.

This was never meant to be a show purely about dancing. It was always an entertainment show.

Me too.
As I've said in a hundred and one of these anti Bruce threads, Strictly just wouldn't be the same without him. Bruce IS Strictly for me.

I love Brucie! He's pretty much the only major TV personality from my youth (the '70s) that is still regularly on TV, so fair play to him - I LOVED him in the Generation Game.

Mr Noddy and I never fail to laugh out loud at at least one of his jokes.

Brucie is an institution! SCD would not be the same without him.

Like someone said above he is the only one of the 70's set who still regularly works. I stopped watched the Generation Game once he left, it just wasn't the same.

Bruce is just a gem and it's good to see an " oldie " still going strong.

Perhaps John Sergeant should replace Bruce as host - I'd watch

He's so rude when he always tells the losing couple to "come here quickly" at the end.
The dancers have put so much in, they don't need to be ordered off so quickly by that old has-been.
