I am glad the thread has gone, it had gotten really aggessive, the only thing I regret is that no one could read my post about things, it was a nice post as well.

Thanks, Beth, for closing down one of the nastiest threads I have ever seen on this forum. ”
Not quite true actually. If you are to quote for the purposes of education or criticism you must give full credit to the original author and a link back to the site where you took the text from.

That's what I wondered. I had to look it up in a dictionary. It's short for 'weblog' - a journal written on-line and accessible to users of the Internet.

Next question - what is the point of them?
PS Oops, you beat me to it, Edna. ”
I've been keeping an online journal for three years now and I run a forum relating to the journal/diary/blogging community
There were even a few Big Brother blogs going during BB4 - quite interesting to read.

Credit ie author name, named source, but not link. Links are always optional. Blogs are public domain material. In this case it was not a copyright offence as all due credit was given. Ahem.

There was no indication within the post as to where the original source material could be viewed.
Check out the Berne Convention. It covers international copyright law. Ahem.
It was a good idea to remove some of the posts, maybe not all as there was quite a few good points in them, I cant remember if there was any swearing at all, spect there was though, trouble is now, or not which ever way you look at it, a certain person involved has now gone over to the BB forum starting exactly the same thing up there, I expect she will get removed soon though, they are not as tolerent there as they are here.
NED1, you really do expect everyone on this board to brow-nose you without question, don't you? Being the friend of a mother of an unnamed contestant on a bad spin-off of Big Brother isn't a claim to fame. Even being on teen Big Brother isn't a claim to fame, their fifteen minutes were cut short due to an horrendous program, that may, or may not have fixed the results as certain 'swingers' on the board claim. I would point out that such claims are totally unfounded, still.

Just been over there and I see what you mean. Im surprised how lenient they were here. Usually DS are quite good about these things and thats why most of us like here.
perhaps it was because the thread was started a bit late in the evening, it was a shame though as things were toddling along quite nicely untill all that happened.

you have been fine today Edna and were behaving fine in the families thread until you joined in with the kangaroo court, but its a bit ironic that you are telling someone to drop it after the shambles of the last couple of days. 2 people should have sensed the mood and dropped it 2 days ago.

Exactly....and that deserves a nice tipple in your tea
