I get my reformatted pc back on line and log on for a quiet hour and something wierd seems to have been happenning over the last week.
Anyone like to update me -known sources only please.

i know I could read all the humongous threads but I have no time and loads seem to have been removed-and users?

I have read the threads but am still at a loss as to why they are being dragged out over here on DS, I am sure a lot of FMs are also members of other sites but we don't feel the need to take spiteful nasty squabbles onto other boards. Yes these all seem to be surrounding teen BB, and the threads seem very long and mainly pointless IMO. I think there are enough intelligent FMs already on DS who were perfectly capable of asking any questions that needed asking when potentially controversial posts have been made.

As for the humourous threads disappearing, that is just a crying shame IMO, I couldn't see any harm in them, just a bit of lighthearted fun

I dont think the thread was removed for the reasons most of yous are indicating (if yous are thinking the same way as me) and it will all probably start up again.

People need to make their disapproval known or alert the mods (which you may well be doing of course) but the last 2 threads that should have been removed because of hounding seem to have been removed for legal reasons instead, which to me seems to give the green light for more hounding.

edit: and I am well aware that people had done silly posts that were removed quite quickly. Nobody needs to remind me of the whole story.

another edit. Im not including Tamara and End1 in this general overview of course. And well done Anon2 for making their disapproval known too. Sometimes people read the mood wrong and 1 post of disapproval from FMs would make reasonable people think about their conduct.

The threads that were removed had no need to be here in the first place.

Dunno about the silly ones though. I haven't been keelhauling contestants because I can't get the hang of pirate speak

The original keelhaul a conestant thread was deleted due to some unsavoury comments made by other fm's, hence we have keelhaul a contestant revisited.

Don't worry about the pirate speak, I can't do it either but you will be happy to know me and my kettle are very happy there LOL!

I do not want to leap to any incorrect conclusion here.
And now I find several major and respected contributors have said they are not posting anymore?????
There are few enough posters anyway so we cannot afford to lose the factual and thoughtfull contributors.

I think that people are reluctant to post about it for fear of the whole thing kicking off again and being responsible for more people leaving!

I really have zero knowledge of the last few days.
Since Friday last I did a few posts sunday teatime and that was it-I read nowt.
Surely someone can write something sufficiently vague that does not repeat the specific problem items.

If you read 'Tommy's accident - true or false' and 'The Families' threads it should give you an idea .

Honestly vilt it was not nice and it all kicked off in a big way, actually you are quite lucky you missed it though I can imagine it was a bit of a shock to find several fm's saying they are not going to post anymore.
I know you want to know but I'm sorry I can't bring myself to tell you anything for risk of it all kicking off again and more posters leaving.

All I know is that everytime I log on lately another familar name is annoucing that they wont be returning

Well, I'll be honest and say that i'm not too sure what has been happening myself but I hope to get to the bottom of it and sort it out. It would be easy to remove threads and just ban members involved but I'm hoping there is a better way.
