No but i was put off Austin acting like Craig had insulted his mother rather than just offered a small criticism.

I just thought it all sounded terribly self centred. ”

Quick question - next week when Rachel is bleating on about how hard it is being in the dance off and how people don't like her etc etc..... will you start another thread asking if anyone has gone off Stevens because of that??

I would be much obliged if someone could furnish me with the information about whom she modelled for and which television shows she has presented.

YES!!

My MAIN problem with Lisa doing that was the fact that it was week 10 and most of the other dancers left bar Bleakley are all either better or of equal standard to her and as she is probably the least known celeb its hardly a major shock shes in na dance off and even if she is so what?!

Gees these Lisa "protectors" really jump to her defence without reading what i'm actually saying - makes perfect sense to me lol

I really like her, so I don't have a problem with her. I don't have a problem with the fact that she went out with George Clooney - in fact I can see why he liked her as she's charismatic & charming. I like Rachel too. And I'm a bit tired of the ridiculous criticism they both get on here...

I don't really get Lisa myself. At the start, I thought she'd just be like Kelly Brook (who was annoying...but very pretty) and I'm not a fan of Brendan (randomly, what is wrong with his face this series? It's like he doesn't have enough skin to stretch into a believable facial expression that doesn't look like someone's punched a mound of dough!) But actually, I kind of find her quite sweet as she progresses. She seems like she's having a bit of fun and that she doesn't take herself too seriously.

However, for me, tonight she overdid the melodrama a tad with the shaky-weepy-ohmigaaad-did-that-just-happen thing when she got tens. It's only some old people holding up bits of plastic on a tv show!

Well I know she models for Avon, and has done for a long time. Not sure about anything else, although I am sure someone will answer more fully.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Have you never heard of selective editing? The BBC are past masters at it on this show and you've just been taken in by it.

She modelled Lynx, Dove and After Eights, that I know of.

Not at all in the same league as Jodie Kidd - Chanel, Valentino, Givenchy, Dolce & Gabbana etc (and that's the haute couture - include the RTW and I'd be here all night typing).

She used to appear in kays catalogue and knitting patterns. No really she did!

Thats why is bemuses me when she is hosting Next Top Model. She is hardly in the league of someone like Tyra Banks. Jodie Kidd on the other hand was a bona fide supermodel.

Talking of which, did you see the dagger look Erin gave Rachel when one of the judges (Bruno?) complimented her?

Ooh it's all fun back there

Yeah but you find most models look plain without make up. Their faces are meant to be like a blank canvas.

No it didn't put me off. I thought it was quite understandable that she doubted her popularity after being in the dance-off twice. We all have a need to feel liked and I thought she expressed her sense of being disliked by the GBP quite well.
I agree that it is definitely not as serious a situation as what's happened in Mumbai, but she is enjoying the show very much (as are they all) and she just wants to stay in as long as possible and I think she was realizing that probably wouldn't happen because of the lack of public support.

Having said that, she pulled herself together (I think that VT was shot on monday) and came out and performed two wonderful dances. So she obviously put her doubts behind her and got on with what she had to do.

Thanks. I don't class her as a model in the sense of Jodie then. What about her presenting?

Lisa's just taking this all far too seriously and putting too much pressure on herself.

And those remarks made by her sisters about feeling Lisa's pain was all so over-the-top.

I find it very off-putting.
