No it didn't put me off. I thought it was quite understandable that she doubted her popularity after being in the dance-off twice. We all have a need to feel liked and I thought she expressed her sense of being disliked by the GBP quite well.
I agree that it is definitely not as serious a situation as what's happened in Mumbai, but she is enjoying the show very much (as are they all) and she just wants to stay in as long as possible and I think she was realizing that probably wouldn't happen because of the lack of public support.

Having said that, she pulled herself together (I think that VT was shot on monday) and came out and performed two wonderful dances. So she obviously put her doubts behind her and got on with what she had to do.

Right ok! totally fair enough cassie. Now we're getting somewhere!! calm and relaxed and pointed out VT was shot on Monday when obviously may have been feeling pain/pressure more......thanks for not shouting at me

Its putting me off her as well. Why does she want to win so badly? She's done so well to get this far.

You cant blame her for being upset. She did a brilliant quickstep and yet still landed in the bottom 2 last week. I dont think its fake, i just think she genuinely loves the show (shes been a fan for years) and doesnt want to leave.

Jeez, I hate it when people (more often than not women) are accused of being jealous for having a negative opinion about another woman. Particularly if that other woman is perceived to be attractive but really is nothing to write home about.

It's the sheer desperation that she demonstrates that doesn't sit well with me.

By all means be determined, show how you feel, but it's all so exaggerated with Lisa. I do believe her emotions are genuine, but she's too intense for my liking. Someone needs to tell the girl it's not the end of the world if she doesn't win.

This is a woman who critizises other women in BNTM I have heard some pretty bitchy and harsh comments coming out of her mouth. That is why people are commenting on her looks and have not warmed to her

You're welcome.

The thing is that everybody reacts differently to different people and, in the case of strictly, different performances. So we are always bound to disagree on things.
I can understand why some people see her reaction as OTT, because it is only supposed to be a bit of fun and she is taking it all way too serious, but I can also understand that for someone who is working 6 days a week for 4 or 5 hours a day on a routine (or two) and has been doing so for 11 weeks gets invested in what they are doing, especially because they all enjoy what they are doing, so much so that it does become their life and therefore they might (over)react in such a way to obviously not having the public support.

Plus she gets up at 4 in the morning to do her regular day-job.

YES!!

My MAIN problem with Lisa doing that was the fact that it was week 10 and most of the other dancers left bar Bleakley are all either better or of equal standard to her and as she is probably the least known celeb its hardly a major shock shes in na dance off and even if she is so what?!”

Least known celeb? To whom? You obviously. And you're a man? So if it's not jealousy, I'm presuming it's something else...

Nah. I never liked her anyway.
I don't enjoy her dancing because I think she and Brendan aren't physically well-matched and I haven't warmed to her.
I knew nothing of her before and she hasn't made me want to know her any better now.

Thank you, rational perspective. SO tempting to let rip

lost your point here? are u suggesting im gay? well i'm not for the record not that it is concern.....i just find Lisa pretty bland and unattractive!! just the same as i think about Stevens!!! I tend to like women with a bit more about them like that chick off the Culture show or FLavia ideally

i said she was least known celeb as i imagined she was after thinking about it........international rugby player, girl from pop group with many number ones and tv series, woman from show thats on EVERY night on BBC1 and doc guy form pretty popular BBC1 drama. It was just my thoughts yes - its porbably right but if you want to argue different feel free.

I heard she went out with George Clooney.
But I also know Thierry Henry plays (played?) for Arsenal.

And that's all. I don't want to know either of them on the basis of what I've heard. I'm not interested in celeb flings and I don't care for football.

Except what makes Lisa a celeb? Even in an era where Kerry Katona and Jordan are celebrated....I just don't get it...

if you read the thread you'll find half the people only know one thing about her - usually the Clooney fact - its not a major criticism just an observation of her which may explain her lack of public support.

She's the only one of this year's celebs I'd never heard of before the series started.

I agree, let it rip by all means (as if you need my permission ). Like I said everybody has a right to their own opinion and we'll all react differently to people.

I think crazyeyeskiller can handle it

She is a master of self publicity. She seems to date high profile men, dare I say to further her career. I don't think she has good presenting skills at all. I think we have been duped by Lisa, she has had extensive dance training and wanted to be a professional dancer. This seems at odds with the awkward bambi of the first week???

This seems to be brought up a lot as a reason to dislike her... To me, Lisa comes across as a nice girl. She wants to do well. Anyone worth their salt would. For the people who actually take part in the show, I imagine it's not all about having fun, but also succeeding and, oh goodness no...wanting to win.

I have to say I knew who Lisa Snowdon and Jodie Kidd were before I knew who Christine Bleakley or Tom Chambers were. It's not really fair to say she's only famous for being George Clooney's ex...she's also been a successful model, presented Top of the Pops, MTV and is now presenting Britain's Next Top Model. She's as much of a 'celebrity' as anyone else on the show.

I think the same argument as has been used by Cherie's and Rachel's and Tom's fans can be used here. That was quite a while ago (at a guess about 20 considering she was probably in school till about 18) and has as much influence on her dancing now as it had on the aforementioned celebs.

I'd probably be a bit upset if I was in the bottom two two weeks in a row

You really don't like Lisa do you, Liza with a Zee? I don't think her 'extensive' dance training is any more than Rachel's, Emma Bunton's, Jill Halfpenny's, Cherie Lunghi's,etc. It's stage school.
