How does the voting go from here on? I'm presuming that the judges will choose who stays and goes next week but what for the week after that when there are only 3 couples left”

They got rid of Gethin last year.

The greatest stitch up in SCD history- we must make sure the judges do not get their way.

If you want Tom to stay please get voting.

Cam was robbed last year by the judges she doesn't deserve a repeat performance

Rachel will never be under threat in the dance-off unless it's against Austin - and that scenario seems pretty unlikely for the moment.

I'm afraid I remain unconvinced by your conspiracy theory

I believe Rachel has always been marked fairly and squarely. She might not be everyone's cup of tea but her Ballroom has been faultless of late. And the judges have been very reserved with their scores when it comes to Rachel's Latin - that's not the type of behaviour I'd expect of people that were playing favourites.

It seems that the judges want Rachel in the final

Then they would have put her in first or second place this weekend but they didn't!

Because Matt danced better than him last year.

Honestly these conspiracy theories do make me laugh

They din't need to - they could just continually save her in the dance offs, as they have so far (not that I disagree with the judges about saving her).

This weekend seemed like Operation Save Lisa (and I like Lisa). Rachel'd be saved against whoever she was against in the dance off. The guys should've (and did have) the public support.

Perfect.

I don't subscribe to the conspiracy theories but I do think what happened with Matt was a travesty. He got through on a sympathy vote.

He scored more than Gethin that night (and danced better as well) so not sure what you mean there

Looks like that is what the plan is but will the public go along with it?

Mmmm I think next week will be Lisa vs Rachel...is there a dance off the week after that?? I'm not sure there is...I really think it will be a Tom/Rachel final!!

I think Spinaker's referring to the previous week when Matt decided the programme should become Strictly Come Sitting.

There's still the conspiracy theory alive about Matt being overmarked and Gethun undermarked in the semi-finals.

But I'm no expert and even I could see that Rachel's dancing was far superior to Heather (the first time) and Christine (this time) in the dance-off.

I don't think it was a case of the judges saving their favourite, but a case of them saving the better dancer.

Given how the public vote seems to be going that's very likely, unless of course one of them comes out and blows everyone away.

I expect there will be a dance off the week after - that is how they did it last year and I don't expect them to change the format now.

Yes...that's why I said 'not that I disagree with the judges about saving her'.

I agree. I actually thought Christine went to pieces in the dance off. Rachel is one of the best dancers and we are left with the four best dancers in the competition. Even if they get to the Final I don't think either Rachel or Lisa will win.

But Letitia went out that week not Gethin.

And as for the conspiracy theory - yes I've seen it from a few Gethin fans who can't let go, but I would have thought most people had moved on to this year by now

In fact I'm not sure why it's even brought up on a thread about Tom. And back on topic, Tom seems to have a strong public vote so I don't think he'll be next out. It should be interesting next week.

Sorry I misunderstood what you said!

So you agree that there is no manipulation or favouritism and Rachel has come through the dance-offs fair and square?

Yes, I was. I thought Matt should have gone out that week. Apart from the Salsa, which was amazing, I never rated Matt and I seem to remember Len making a ridiculous speech about Matt's recovery.

That's your opinion, fair enough. I disagree I thought Matt was much better than Gethin.

But that was last year, this thread is about this year so can we move on now?

Matt was over- hyped. I never saw the appeal. I just saw a boy who looked lost on the dancefloor and pinched someone's girlfriend.

Well, obviously I disagree with the first bit. As for the second - I don't know Matt, Flavia or Vincent and I don't know what happened between them so excuse me if I don't sit here in judgement on them. It's none of our business.

And this has now gone way off topic again

I agree with you about the waltz - it seemed like a re-worked version of the foxtrot they did the previous week - same lines etc.

I also agree about Vincent - he's crazy daft, but loveable with it!!! - and Rachel. Nothing against her, in fact she seems a very sweet person, but as you say, maybe a tad bland.
