Is it just me who can't see the appeal of Lisa?

How is she still there?

How did she become a model?

How did she become a presenter?

Was George Clooney temporarily blind or not fully compus mentus?

A similar thread has just been going on the subject - not sure if you want to request it be combined with yours?

But to answer your question - no you're not alone.

Lisa is too intense for me. I never feel relaxed watching her. It's too much of an ordeal for her.

Well as there are hundreds of posts saying that they don't like Lisa (and Rachel, for that matter), I guess not, but then you already knew that.

It's strange how every year the women are highlighted in this way, but the men largely sail by, all the negativity.

Der chef says

To me Lisa Snowdon is another Carole Smilie or Letitha Dean she has improved greatly from a low starting point but is now being hyped by the judges way beyond her ability.

If she goes next week that is probably about right.

Ohh yeah

I don't like Lisa.
And just for the record, I love Jodie, Rachel, Alesha (the best), Jill and Zoe.

I like her as a person most of the time, but until she dances at at least medium pace, rather than at a quarter of the speed of everyone else, I can't take to her dancing.

The personalities perhaps don't matter as much to me as the typical viewer but I can see why some would like her.

As with Kelly Brook, I don't see much wrong with her despite all the criticisms I read.

In fact she's one of the more outstanding female personalities this year....although that probably tells us something about the cast.

It's definitely not just you.

Obviously you're not the only one going by other threads.

No not just you at all. I don't think many people do like her.

I think people like her because of her "JOURNEY" (ach nein the J word!)

I am not voting for her, I don't mind her too much though. I do think her crying has become a bit annoying. I am all for letting it all out, believe me, and having a few tears because of a really bad score or crying because you were in the dance off for the first time, that's fine. But now it's become crying because she gets GOOD scores, and crying because people DO like her. She should just try and smile a bit more ... nothing against her, but people were complaining about Rachel crying her eyes out when she was in the dance off. She had tears once on her VT. Now Lisa has become the crying queen and it seems to be "OK" because she has had "such a hard time". Her sisters are also really annoying...all this going on about seeing someone they love in so much pain, and how they have her crying on the phone, and how its hard to see someone they love suffering SO MUCH...come on now, she's not dying or anything.

Having said that, I can see where some people find the attraction in her and her "story". Just in the past couple of weeks she has become a bit of a moaning minnie. No offense to any of her fans.

I've looked now and there are other threads mentioning this. It's just that the threads I'd come across at the time seemed very supportive of someone I think is not even good enough to still be in the competition.

No it isn't, unfortunately. In the other thread there's been a lot of assumptions of jealousy, and that poster is a man, so I won't wonder if you're jealous of her or not. I'll just wonder why so many damn people are so damn cruel.

i'm beginning to worry about you! Do you assume that just because i'm a man that i must like/fancy/lust over Lisa Snowdon?? I merely questioned some of her VT this week and it went from there. I think i brought up some valid points the main one being "there is very little between the last four acts now so i dont want to see any more tears to camera about the public not liking her"

Oh so it isn't just me who can't see the appeal of Austin then? At this rate there won't be a winner - every one of them lacks appeal for someone and apparently they are all smug!

I know! Yeah I find Austin annoying. I love Tom and Lisa. I genuinely find Austin to be smug. When he's got bad scores he looked shocked and once he even said well thats a surprise

I was quite surprised at Austin & Erin's bitchfaces backstage after the mild criticism they got for they're Foxtrot. He can get away with it I suppose, I'd love to see the forum meltdown if Rachel or Lisa moaned about their scores.

It's weird how people see things differently. Lisa comes across to me as a warm and genuine person. I don't really buy into their partnership, and I'm not fond of Brendan, but I have been impressed with some of his choreography for her this year and also very impressed that Lisa seems to work very hard on the notes she is given and I have frequently seen an impressive improvement in her bad points, which over the course of seven days is good going.

Has she blown me away? Nope. Have I voted for her? Nope. But neither do I "get" some of the peple who seem to loathe her.

Each to their own I guess.

No I can't see the appeal of Lisa either. As a dancer or in any other way. She should have been out a couple of weeks ago.

Where's that? I can tell you I'm not a man (not the last time I looked) but none of the men I know rate her lookswise. I can't say what they think of her dancing because most of them don't watch the show.

I think she's lovely but find Rachel bland, Austin arrogant & Tom just odd - so it's all personal taste really

I like Lisa, and hope she gets to the final.
