My top three who I would love to see win at some point are Ian, Camilla and Erin. I think those three really deserve it as they always get the best out of their partners and have gotten futher than the quarter finals more than once

Having said that, I wouldn't be overly upset if Vincent lifted the trophy either, as I have rather a soft spot for him

Next year, I'm holding out for Ian or Anton - give Anton a decent partner, beeb!”

I agree with you totally. they ar the 2 best choreographers by far. Next year I would also love to see Kristina back and with a decent partner as I think she i also amazing.

Vincent for me. Don't think it's going to happen though.

It has to be Erins year (please!!) she always gets the best out of her partners and choreographs to their strengths. She is a total legend and id love to see her lift the trophy xx

Camilla. She creates fabulous routines and excellent choreography for her partner's and similar to Erin, has been in Strictly since the start.

Ian, Erin, Camilla & Anton. Imho. The first three have got so close, Camilla SHOULD have been in the final last year, so she can never say she got to the final which is really sad. And they really need to give Anton someone who's going to take him a long way.

I think Camilla's choreogrpahy leaves a lot to be desired .

Only this series has she played to her partner's strengths and then only in a couple of dances and she is not helping Tom to create masculine Latin dances.
However , I still think Tom will win despite her .

I'd love Vincent to win, think Camilla deserves a chance at the final at least, wouldn't be bothered if Erin never won one

I would quite like to see Ian win as he's lovely

That she hasn't managed to get even one of those to the final, says a lot.

I don't think she's easy to warm to, I don't see any chemistry between her and her partners and I don't find her choreography in the least bit inspiring.”

You blame Camilla for Ray's early exit? Or Gethin losing a dance off? James Martin was CRAP and would never have got further with anyone else other then the 'romantic' angle the Beeb sold us.

I think she deserves a final appearance along with either Brendan or Erin.

Vincent = to me.

Its also amazing that despite all these new pro's its the old series 1 guard that make up 75% of the quater final. Where's Anton?

I love the fact 3 out of the four vetrans are still left in. But then again I do think Rachel is the best dancer left in.

That aside I'd adore to see Erin win. She totally deserves it, she's so hardworking and such a lovely person. I love her and Austin's partnership.

I like Vincent, but suppose it would have to be Camilla cos I love Tom more!!

I'm biased as I love Brendan and would love to see him win it again. Wouldn't mind Erin or Vincent either Vincent being my other favourite pro and Erin my favourite female.

BUT as much as its really annoyed me I haven't been able to like Camila or Tom this year. Tom was the only reason I ever sticked with Holby City but I haven't been able to warm to him at all on Strictly and I don't know what it is with Camila that has annoyed me. I really wanted her in the final last year, this year I don't really care.

If basing it purely on the pro, I would go for Erin (with Vincent ahead of either Camilla and/or Brendan).

Erin or Vincent. Camilla's had plenty of good partners but doesn't seem to get them to the final, partly because her choreography is not as good as the others. The frenetic dancing and desperation seems to put a lot of people off. I'm not a fan of Lisa so I don't want Brendan to win.

got to be erin for me, she's been in strictly right from the very first series and always manages to get the best out of her partners no matter what their natural dancing ability. she's come close before (colin/julian) but never quite made it all the way so i think this year should be her year

failing that, i've warmed to camilla this series and actually have always liked her choreography, so she would be my second choice

I don't know why Camilla gets so much criticism for not getting a partner to the final. Arguably, the only potential winners she has partnered are Gethin and Tom.

Chef James was actually very heavy when dancing and had no natural rhythm in the latins. She still dragged him to the final stages of the competition. I would put him on par with Peter Schmeichel, but without the advantage of a sporting background.

Gethin would never have won in a year when Alesha was in the competition, and only missed the finally because of Brat and the judges awarding him 10's for improvement following an appalling quarter final.

James was actually continually compared to Darren Gough in the series itself- what made a lot of the difference was the genuine partnership he had with Lilia and her choreography skills which helped him get 30 or over in three of the latin dances despite him not being overly good at latin.

Just on this series, I think I'd say either Brendan or Vincent 'deserve to win', because they have done the best job with their celebs.

Purely my opinion of course!

I have to admit that the old mantra that Camilla has had loads of good partners totally baffles me. David Dickinson was crap, as was Roger Black, as was James Martin in the latin, Ray Fearon was so so and hard to take a liking to and finally along came Gethin, who was ridiculously shy and cursed with wooden hips at the start, but was transformed into a very elegant ballroom dancer and a better latin dancer than anyone expected by the end. On a more fatuous level, I'd say that among them only Gethin could realistically be described as a 'looker', but as a hetero male I accept that my view may be different to the majority of SCD viewers

On the subject of choreography I'd say Camilla is weaker in the latin than Vincent and Brendan but stronger than Erin, who has twice now had comments made by one or more of the judges about the Samba and Paso being short of actual dance steps content...I wouldn't know, but I'd expect them to!

Obviously Id like Camilla to at least make the Final, but I think that Erin and Vincent deserve the opporunity too. Erin for the chance to wipe out the memory of the muppet dance - Although I share the view that Goughie was going to win anyway - and Vincent for the abysmal handling of the Matt and Flavia thing by the beeb in general and Tess in particular...

Going by the voting patterns though the only likely winners I can see this year are either Austin or Tom

The BBC did try and play the boys rivalry angle with them (as they seem to do with two men every year ) but it does not mean they actually had the same ability. James Martin had no performance or sports background, and was quite unfit (and overweight) to begin with. Darren was far fitter and this helped immensely. He also had a larger following, as sportsmen on these shows always seem to have, than TV chef James.

Yes I agree with that to an extent, although it was nowhere near as bad as the Tom/Austin 'story' at the start of this year! The BBC story was really overplayed

I do see Darren as the stronger partner, my point is that they were actually fairly similar in build, in strength at ballroom and in weakness at latin. I don't think you can explain the difference in scores and placing just in terms of saying Darren was naturally a better dancer- part of it has to be about the pro. For me his success was at least partly because Lilia worked far more effectively at choreographing dances, especially on the latin side, that helped Darren score as well as he did despite being no better than James at latin to begin with.
(I don't agree with you about him having a larger following at all though; maybe in general, but in the SCD audience I suspect far more had heard of James than of Darren. In fact James' fanbase was tested quite a few times towards the end and it was that, rather than his dancing, that kept him in. Undeniably though Darren did gain a lot of popularity as the show progressed.)

It's not a case of saying Camilla is useless because obviously she isn't. But for me she is weaker than some of the others, so if I was voting on which pro 'deserves' to win (which I'm not), I wouldn't pick her. I'm actually more than likely going to vote for Tom, although I maintain he could do better with a different pro.

I don't 'blame' Camilla as such, but I hold her partly responsible for not getting further in the past. And I've stated the reasons why - just as you find Vincent I haven't taken to Camilla. Just a difference of opinion

I think it has been a fantastic series, with several professional dancers worthy of kudos, as well as some strong competitors.

However, Brendan has delivered some brilliant choreography and dances which have been a joy to watch. He's also proved himself as a very good tutor. The fact that he's been a winner before shouldn't be the main factor in the decision really.

Vincent!

Brendan already won, Camilla has had some good runs, and Erin blew it already with Colin.

Erin Boag, she deserves it more than any other. Austin is only her second decent partner after Colin over all 6 series which proves how amazing she is with what she has had to work with. She always plays to her partners strengths, is never selfish, extreamly clever with choreography and the most fabulous pro dancer i have ever met. Please, please will people give her a break over the showdance, dont you think she has suffered enough.

Camilla, why does she deserve it? she has had plenty of decent partners, James Martin, Ray Feron, Gethin Jones and Tom Chambers. She just doesnt excite me, would be nice for her to make the final but winning it, NO.

Vincent, he loves himself too much and is sometimes selfish. He makes his routines far too difficult. Maybe next year.

Brendan, already won it. I used to be a Brendan fan but cant stand the fella now. Good choreography this year though.
