Not over joyed by any of them, but I think Erin and Austin are best matched to win it.
I would like Vincent to win it, just because of everything he was put through with the Flavia/Matt thing. BUT I cant stand Rachel.........no warmth.

So Erin and Austin..

The acting coach can take credit for that. If anything, this emphasised Camilla's own inability to get the best out of her partners - she had to bring in a third party to do the job for her.

I have to agree. Goughie was never going to be the best dancer SCD has ever seen, but he produced some very good ballroom and some passable and entertaining Latin. I watched back some of my old tapes recently, and I was honestly surprised at how good some of his routines were.

This year is the only time I have actually watched routines from Camilla that seemed to focus on her celeb more than her. Granted, it's a nice and very welcome change, but (although I think we'll have to agree to disagree, which is fair enough ) I do not agree that she did a particularly good job of showcasing Gethin, or indeed any other of her celebs prior to Tom. Lilia IMO did a better job of showcasing the limited talents of Dom, and Erin the limited talents of Julian and Peter, despite those celebs' obvious limitations. And to be honest, I never really "got" Gethin's "miraculous change" - I much preferred some of his earlier routines, his VW for me was my favourite of his dances, I thought it was gorgeous, and said at the time that it should have been first, not joint first, that evening.

My abiding image of their slow waltz that got such rave reviews for instance is of Gethin rubbing his nose over Camilla's face; I didn't find it emotional or romantic, I found it cringy, and I didn't especially like the choreo or the ending to that dance - neither did my mum who I watched it with. Guess it goes to show it takes all sorts - SCD would be extremely dull if we all agreed! I know people who adored that dance (and similarly MattDA's waltz which also left me cold), so who's to say who's right? But it wasn't to my taste at all, and I much preferred some of his other offerings.

It has been a refreshing change to see some routines that seem genuinely focused on her celeb's strengths, though why she put so many pivots in one routine and so many shimmies in the other on Sat when it was clear Tom had trouble with both moves beats me. I don't think she did him any favours there, which is a shame as I think he's obviously talented. If she can choreo to his strengths I can see him winning, but not by doing that to him. That said, coming back from a bad week may cement his support, so who knows.

Depends how you look at it? From a choreography it would have to be Brendan or Erin, as they have both produced some stunning routines that have really showcased their partners brilliantly. From a personality view I think Vincent would just edge it, I think he's really lovely and makes me giggle, plus he puts his heart and soul into every step! And that just leaves Camilla. Now to be totally frank, I don't think she deserves it. It's not that I dislike her, quite the opposite, but I think she's made some dreadful muscial and choreographical choices this year. I also have to add that she's had more good "raw talent" than the other pros and failed to reach the finals on all occasions. She's never been better than when she was with Gethin and if she couldn't do it with him I don't think she should do it with Tom, as he is not a patch on Gethin (IMO)! I think I still blame her for not choreographing a more traditional Paso for Gethin, instead of these dreadful power-rock things she does!

I agree, but this is just a bit of opinion - after all, we do form attachments to the pros, and the show wouldn't be the same without them. This wasn't meant to be a nasty thread or anything *cowers* It was just meant to be somewhere where we could appreciate how much effort our favourite pros put in!

Erin... she seems so genuine and never makes it about herself. Plus she does such fantastic routines and her music choices are usually fab too. I've particularly loved:
- that time she made Colin jealous by bringing Matt C in to work on their rumba
- how she babysat for Austin
- the little clip on ITT when her and Austin were flicking elastic bands at each other
- how devastated she looked after her showdance with Colin but held it together
......and more!

Vincent... he's so so sweet and looks so fun! He always seems to know how to make his partner feel good about himself. I love:
- how Stephanie made him cower like no other woman could
- his rapport with Louisa - and when she did an impression of him, complete with lithp!
- when he fell off his chair on the VT on Saturday!
- how he keeps giving Rachel his all even when her personality isn't as strong as his former partners'
.....I could go on!
