Dear god they find more and more ways of padding the show out. Especially the results. Just get the the point! My mum now records it and fast forwards through half of it.

I like to see the pro dancing so, no, there is no need to cut to the case for me.

No way! The more Strictly the better! I love the pro dances and I think it's right that they get to showcase their wonderful talents. They work hard enough for the show.

Absolutely not! I love the pro dances and Sundays show has been better than the main show most weeks this series. IMO, of course.

Wouldn't cut the content...but it really should be on of a Sat night.
You can get the results here about 10.30 and well...I just can't help myself having a peek...sort of spoils the Sun show which I still watch and enjoy !

Yes and no..... love the pro dances - it really is a big plus this year, the fact that the pro's are dancing more & more, and are considered important (and not just suplimentary to the sometimes 'has-been's" that are brought into fill the singing slot.

However, I know what you mean and agree that some of the things e.g. yet more interviews with the loved ones who seem to be getting personalities of their own this year, are duplicate to ITT and just obvious fillers, and so could definately been removed without any loss.

Bit of an insult to call it "padding" isnt it! The Pro dancers put on a really good show and are there to entertainment fans of DANCE. I dont think they would want to be referred to as padding.
I love the results show - I suppose the people who are watching it as a Personality Competition (you know who you are!) wont like it because they wont appreciate the guest star and the pro dancer spot. But its a real joy to watch on a Sunday night.

Where did anyone say the Pro Dancers were padding? I think both shows are very padded out with repeat footage and we now tape the Sunday show while we watch Top Gear (what brain box at the BBC put those against each other?) and whizz through the repeated stuff.

I wish that it would finish quickly now. The show became boring after John left . Then Jodie, my favourite and Christine, the one who always looked like she was having fun, left. They both made impressive progress, but sadly have gone. As last year's winner was a trained dancer the show seems to have lost sight of it's original purpose by expecting such perfection form those po-faced judges. But I really don't care who wins anymore as long as they enjoy it. Alesha Dixon was already dance trained and I felt that she was unfair competition last year.

There may as well be a ballroom dancing competition instead of "Strictly Come Dancing" with it's supposedely novice celebrities. "Come Dancing" with Peggy Spencer, good camera work and proper band music without distracting vocals was always a very popular show and ran for years. If Strictly has proved anything it is that people would like a return of that sort of serious dance show on TV.

Yeah I wasn't talking about the pro-dancers. But they show an abbreviated version of the previous nights show and loads of other crap in between.

yeah I'm sick of the dancing. Its all padding. Its not like this is a dancing show or something LOL!!!

The only segment I would cut out is the singer guest each week and talking to celeb's in the crowd. You know the ones that take up seats for the public!

The pro's are the best bit. The clue to the show is in the title, so it gives the pro's a dance to just go out there and do it.

If you're impatient for the result, read the spoiler thread, and if you really don't like the pro dances, turn on when you know it's nearing results.
