i am due a upgrade next week on my voafone contract.
it will be 60days until my contract with them ends.

am i likely to get a good deal then or will i get a better at the end when i ask for a pac code to leave

vodafone will give you a good deal you just need to be realistic and have alternative in mind that you can quote to them.

there's no harm in asking.

i pay £35 a month and would only want a 12 month contract.

if i had to i would take a c905 if i could not get the n96

when i speak to them they're always pretty honest with me.

my tariff is £30 (for reasons too complicated to explain i get the data free for life) they tell me £15 is for the contract and £15 is for the phone. and i can break it down however i wish.

but they just tell me the cost of the phone i want, then i can work out the deal for myself.

last time the deal worked out better than i could get else where so, in that case there is no point in arguing.

outbound may offer something better, but then it's a funny game, but they wont offer you something that is better than you can get else where. if you're going to go that route then ask for you PAC in the last month and see what happens.

you need to do your homework see what deals best suits you and put it to them.

I'd say you've no hope on a 12 month contract.

I got offered 600 mins unlimited texts and vodafone family group of 4 all for £12.50 per month on a 12 month contract only thing was it was a sim card with no phone.

oh yo can certainly get a 12month deal, but you won;t get a free N96 with it.

have you tried using the upgrade section on the vodafone website to see whats on offer.

i can't do that because i am not due a upgrade until the 9th december

looking on the web you can get a free one on a 18month contract

or just get a c905 instead

I've just upgraded with Vodafone - I wanted to reduce my monthly bill & found a deal in the Vodafone shop - 150 mins - 500 texts on Sony W595 for £20

The shop told me they couldn't do this for me & I'd have to call the call centre. They in turn told me the shop should have sorted this & they couldn't offer this to me as an upgrade. They also told me that the phone wasn't in stock.

Once I asked for my PAC number, the phone could then be sent the next day & of course I could have that deal - I was all ready for a long, drawn out call but they sorted it for me within minutes
