I'm not sure if the show's adulation of Mark Foster's body was an accepted wisdom on here, but i found his body - and the show's obsession with it - quite repulsive.

Now THAT's heresy in motion, kids. Who'dve thought that Gabby Logan et al didn't really care whether people thought they had six left feet?

John Sergeant's dances (any) were better than Austin's Paso.

John's got rhythm

I didn't think any of John's performances were endearing or entertaining. The only good thing about him being on the show was Kristina.

I dont actually like Rachel and Lisa very much HOWEVER I dont feel Alesha's dancing was actually any better than theirs, she was just a more bubbly personality and took it on the dance floor. She never learnt to straighten her legs

Because they don't want to be seen as egotistical which some people would seem them as even if they spoke the truth

Pasodabble , I found Alesha's LATIN footwork scrappy , maybe as should have been clearer , and she always looked a bit uncontrolled in the Latin dances . That's not even a heresy it is now received wisdom it has been commented on so amny times .
I loved Alesah and she so deserved to win but she wasn't perfect .

As for the foxtrot , it was a truly awful routine , I know Mark backed Karen all the way and said he didn't do what his coach said , Karen knows it was a very weak , even Karen as a pro dancer was weak in that routine ,

His posture was commented on ad infinitum , but when Anton took him round the floor in the VW training for the final and said he gave Mark a few pointers and he improved instantly and if he was able to take instruction so well , no wonder he was in the final .

Dolly , I have to say I agree about Austin but not quite so vehemently . Karen or Lilia may have made a huge difference to his Latin and as for Tom , either of those ladies woudl have been ideal for him .

Alesha's Cha Cha was NOT all that good, I much prefered her Samba, Jive & Rumba!

Jill's Jive was NOT her best dance, It was actually her Samba!

As for Denise ,I have read numerous articles and one in particular about Denise which made it clear that her mother was very much involved in her dance training and encouraged her from an early age

On that note, it annoys the life out of me when people completely discount certain celebs because of their previous training. Fair enough if they genuinely prefer seeing real beginners progress, but it annoys me when people don't recognise that others have had similar training and really not got anywhere! Like Letitia- lovely, but really only good at ballroom- yet she has the same theatre school background as Jill, and as far as I know Sylvia Young is much more focussed on dance/singing/acting than the theatre school Jill went to.

I remember either on the radio or the tv in the build-up to the series five final, someone saying they thought Matt should win because Alesha had already been taught to dance before she started Strictly! Yet we were shown on ITT that Matt had been taking dance at Sylvia Young.

Just the first bit? I was in fits of laughter from start to finish!

But I guess it was entertaining

Absolutely my lovely. Training is very different from talent - you can't polish a poo

OK - that made me howl with laughter more than Austin's Paso!

I love Alesha but the waltz was the worst of her ballroom dances, the music was horrible and her dress made her bum look bigger. I think her foxtrot, VW and QS were far better.

John Barnes deserved that 10 for his salsa and his salsa was the best in series 5.

As much as I like Lisa I have found Brendan's choreography that great.

Len is the best judge on the panel, Craig doesn't know the meaning of the words constructive criticism.

I seem to be unique in not being impressed by Alesha's jive but loving her salsa

Kristina has been a fabulous addition to the show and I hope we see her again next year, this time paired with an Austin or a Tom.

I thought that John's Paso was absolutely hilarious! I'm not saying it was good but it was definitely the most comedic routine I remember seeing on Strictly.

But my all-time favourite celeb on SCD is still Jill. I loved watching her.

I think Craig is the fairest judge of them all.

I didn't think Alesha was as good a dancer as was made out last year, and contrary to most opinions, I don't think Austin is that great this year either, his latin is definitely not good.
Oh, and I like Rachel AND Lisa.
