I was wondering if this worth buying. £99.99 for a multi-region player seems at face value to be good. Available at Richer Sounds. Anyone got it? Does it output RGB via scart?
Is it better than the Minato G1? (Tesco at £109.99)

I'd love some info on this player myself. I've searched high and low on the net for details and can't find a thing - I wish Richer Sounds would have more details on the stuff they sell, usually there's the absolute bare minimum.

This player is talked about in the uk.media.home-cinema newsgroup, the guy who started the thread has bought one. Below is the info he supplied:

"So here it is Full CD/CDR/CDRW/MP3/VCD/DVD reader with multiregion
capability (Code 8421), selectable PAL/NTSC output and DD/DTS compatibility.

The only bad things about the player I have found so far is that it is Scart
only (no s-video) and has no optical out."

I think it has two scart sockets as he talks about looping through his VCR. I would ask him questions, but I am having trouble with my newsreader.

Thanks for that. I've also been unable to find anything on the net about this player. I agree the Richer Sounds web-site is pretty dire. It looks like it's been cobbled together without much thought/ effort
