Spoilt by the judges comments.

She never expects to be in the dance off (whether she should or not is irrelevant) regardless of the fact that someone has to be.

I was just a bit disappointed in her reactions when the judges were voting to save.

Christine, pleasant and magnanamous to the end, kept looking over at Rachel as if to say "it's ok, I know you deserve to stay".

Not once did Rachel look over to Christine sympathetically.

I really hope Lisa wins now

If you look in the moment of truth, Vincent and Rachel never claped that Tom was safe like the others did. They knew that if Tom was safe they were certain to be in the dance off. I didn't like that.

The last time she cried when she was in the bottom two and people here said she was a spoilt brat that didn't know what a real ordeal would be like!

When she cried backstage and leaned on Vincent, some even suggested she had crocodile tears.

Sad. Really sad there are so many people sitting on a high horse.

They were too worried. They knew if they were at the bottom two with Lisa (a possibility in their minds because Lisa was in the bottom two for two consecutive weeks), there might be a chance the judges picked Lisa.

Vincent was nervous (kept shaking his legs to try to 'shake off' the nerves), and it's all deja vu for him. It's traumatic for him because Louisa was voted out before he could do the AT, and his worry only made Rachel feel the same.

BTW, I have never voted for Rachel or Lisa so far, and I am NOT their fan.

I don't think it's particularly out of order that after getting 39 out of 40 you might hope you danced well enough to proceed They consistently work the hardest out of all of them and get the highest scores, yet get slapped down for it. Why would you look happy about that? Why?

Exactly. They never 'cheat' on their training. Granted, Tom said only Lisa and Christine had day jobs, so someone might crucify Rachel, Tom or even Austin for the unfair advantage, that they are desperate to win etc... Same old, same old...

How do you know how much work they do and how hard? They all train for roughly the same number of hours. Christine and Lisa have proper jobs as Tom pointed out.

Just because someone gets 39 and someone gets 28 does not mean one person put in more effort then the other.

Spoilt by the judges comments?

For weeks on end they wouldn't give Rachel a break. Len didn't have a nice word to say about her. But she fought on like the trooper that she is and is being congratulated on her hard work. The girl deserves every piece of praise she receives.

She never expects to be in the dance-off?

I beg to differ. Rachel stated quite clearly on ITT that at this point in the contest, there is so little between the couples that anyone can land themselves in the dance-off. If anything, Rachel looked resigned to the fact that she'd be there.

Not once did Rachel look over to Christine?

Probably because she didn't want to rub Christine's nose in it. They embraced very warmly at the end, with Vincent reduced to tears.

In fairness they all, bar Brendan who was like , looked worried.

Most of the time Rachel has done the most training hours.

It`s only really the last few weeks that Rachel has been having positive comments - thought Arlene and Len were quite down on her before.

We know because they tell us on ITT how many hours training they have done.

Here is Alesha and Letitia from last year.

It's a lot easier for the one who knows they should be going.

No, of course not. But it's obvious Christine didn't have the same dance talent as the rest of the four left in the show. Andrew trained the hardest but I wouldn't rate his dancing.

Everyone worked hard. Those with jobs, even when they trained the same hours, doesn't mean they can put in as much effort (tiredness comes into mind) as those who might have the 'luxury' to train until the security locked them up unknowingly in the gym. Not entirely their fault, either way. They all trained hard, so they were all stressed and hope their effort earn them the place in the final.

Hmm, am I making sense?

Brendan had a look of 'I can be bothered' when they were voted through. Maybe he could see how popular the male celebs are and he feels it's curtains for them or Rachel sooner or later...

but we know that only ONE man will make teh final as teh judges have the power to vote Rachel or Lisa over the other man in a dance off. Brendan knows this.

Not at this stage (and Rachel herself admitted that earlier)

Perhaps. I had written another theory that Brendan will go for broke in his Waltz to attain perfection, since they almost got there with their Foxtrot. So even if they did a disaster of a Jive, whoever they are dancing with in the dance-off will lose, ala Matt di Angelo. But they will only get them as far as semi-final, so...

Maybe it was because she cried last time she was in the dance off, that she was desperately holding herself together this time round.

I agree with your theory about the waltz. Chances are that Rachel and Lisa will be in the dance-off. I think Lisa will win that because she will have a great waltz. Apparently Rachel will be doing Tango and Cha Cha, neither of which will do as well.

Maybe.

But I just felt really sorry for Christine who has been well aware of her shortcomings as a dancer throughout the entire series.

She knew that it would be Rachel that the judges saved and as I said in the OP, she was gracious and kind towards Rachel who just stood there looking as if she was going to meltdown, but knowing full well she would be saved. I just think she could have shown a bit more compassion towards Christine who has been lovely throughout.

With the proviso that I don't think there should be a dance off a this stage anyway - I do think that it will be interesting to see how the judges play it if there is a girl/boy dance off.

If the rumoured rule changes have any basis in fact () then next year could see the 3 times in the bottom 2 and you are automatically out rule come into play. In which case, the girls would be out anyway.

Maybe the apparent lack of compassion from Rachel was compensated backstage? It's time to find out in tonight's and tomorrow's ITT.

yet another unpleasant thread about Rachel

before Rumba week she was constantly marked down for not 'performing' enough, despite doing better dances than a lot of others

She's had a great rumba, foxtrot and waltz and that's it in 10 weeks - so how has she been spoilt by the judges?

you are also reading far too much into who's looking at who and who's clapping who - you don't know how you'd react, so just stop speculating!!

I wasn't speculating. The evidence is on screen.
