not sure what question the OP is asking, but yes i work to support a pet. I receive no state pet benefit for providing for him.
I work 10 hour days to ensure he has a high standard of food and veterinary care, a place to sleep anywhere he so desires, regardless of anyone else's want to sit there.
When i started my new job i had to negotiate a higher salary to cover the cost a dog walker as i would now be based 30 miles away, instead of 2 (i was headhunted rather than applied for the job - i wasn't just demanding).
My holidays and social life is planned around him, he is chauffeured anywhere he might need to go and subject to almost as much spoiling as the youngest grandchild might be from my parents.
He has monthly trips to the groomers whereas i might wait 2 or 3 months for a trip to the hairdresser.
He is waited on hand and foot. And he accepts that this is the way life should be.
And i wouldn't really have it any other way
