Sony Ericsson W302 - Thought they'd be a big seller this Xmas?
Anyone know if O2 are going to sell the Sony Ericsson W302.
As far as I can see only Virgin and Orange have picked up this model so far and they aren't pushing it all that hard. Carphonewarehouse had the W302 on their website as a "coming soon" mobile but it has disappeared off the site since then. |

It's more of a budget phone though surely, not particularly well specced. The networks aren't going to be pushing it because it's not worth it for them - ~£80 on PAYG.
To be honest in that price range there are a lot of phones that I'd say were more interesting too: Nokia 6300, 5310 SE W350i, w580i Plus for £20 more you could get a SE w910i or Nokia 6500 classic. |

I wouldn't bother with the w910i model either its full of glitches and alot of people have problems with it I used to use it as my main phone before I got my Iphone but all I use it for now is a Bluetooth Based Modem for my 3G Broadband.

The w910i ain't that bad. I had problems with some of the early firmware, but mine has been rock solid for ages now.

The w910i is crap as a phone but works ok if you use it as a modem for Mobile Broadband saying that the music features were quite good and the slow down issues were fixed in the later firmware updates but my w910i still has issues where the backlight stays on sometimes or crashes and resets.

sony ericsson seems to have a lot of trouble with bugginess when they release their new phones
The k850i was a disaster as well. Obviously they try to fix problems highlighted by user feedback, so check your phone to make sure you are on the latest firmware. |
