Vodafone Credit Limit Question
Hi does anyone know if you can set a credit limit on your vodafone account where it doesnt go over the bill at all?
I'm waiting on hold to speak to them to ask but it seems to be taking ages as usual |

I got through to them they advised that they used to but not anymore as it never worked out, more like it was stopping them from making money from people going over their bills

That's very sceptical. They were correct that it caused more problems than it solved. I'm surprised you have missed all the threads about it on here and the stories on Watchdog etc.
The reason it doesn't work very well is that in some circumstances charges can take some time to appear on your account. which means you could easily go over the limit. As an example, if you are roaming abroad, the foreign network can take days to pass on details. If you want a limit then try Pay and Go, or T-Mobile do a tariff called U-Fix, which has a fixed limit after which you have to top up. |
