Funny enough I joined DS cos the posters here seemed far less hysterical and partisan than some of the posters on the beeb boards during SCD5

Anyway, one day all the present pro's will leave or the show will fade away and it'll be replaced by some inane drivel that cheeses us all off Why not just enjoy the whole thing while it's there?

In
Darren
Lilia
Vincent
Flavia (She and Lilia are the best female dancers and choreographers IMO)
Ian
Brian (excellent new addition)
Kristina (ditto)
James (I think he's been villified by the editors. He wasn't coarse on tour. The whole tour is a scripted pantomime anyway)
Ola (she can stay if we never have to see that catsuit again)
Matthew
Erin
Claudia!
Craig
Bruno
Arlene if she leaves the terrible aliterations at home

Out
Bruce
Len
Hayley (sure she's lovely but made no impression on me)
Anton (But use as a replacement for Bruce)
Brendan (Oh so whiney. And quite dull choreography - although he did have a couple of better moments this year)
Karen (but maybe as a replacement to Len on the judging panel)
Camilla (She's off, anyway)

Fredless - you have forgotten Tess -or was that deliberate?

I'm afraid I can't agree about Brendan either.
How can you say his choreography was dull when he produced a showdance like the one for this year's final:
It will remain in my nightmares for a long time to come

The bbc have said they want a revamp for this years' series, so to be honest I would like to see a whole new cast - new judges, definitely new presenters and a new band or replacing them with CDs.

Also (and as some of them are friends of mine, I'm not going to be popular for saying so) I would like to see a whole new 'cast' of professional dancers.

Don't agree.

Some of the popularity of the show comes from the strong fan base which some of the pro dancers have built up in their own right, and I think I would be a very foolish move by the producers to replace them all.

Also, it is not very kind to want to see your own friends lose their job, and with it what must be quite a good income for them

All judges except Craig, bring in Karen, Camilla & Philip, the red button man.

Need new blood in the pro dancers, cut down the number of couples and have it twice a year like the US.

Keep:
Brian
Kristina
Lillia
Darren (All good choregraphers.

Rid:
James
Ola
Brendan

Not bothered about the rest.

I can understand where you are commin from but for me that would be a complete nightmare and would completely ruin strictly for me !
I love all the pro's (some more than others) and they make the show for me.
I love the band as I think they add atmosphere to the programme.
I love Brucie (there I've finally admitted it!) but I'm more worried about who they will replace him with when he finally steps down ! (please, please not Lionel Blair!)
What I'm worried about most of all is the bbc turning strictly in DWTS which I cannot stand ! Its too flashy and just relies on flashy lifts and tricks and not proper dancing !

All in!

Well actually I don't mind them changing some of the dancers, but I don't want to pick particular ones since they have all been so hardworking, putting in a lot of time and effort getting the celebs up to scratch. And to be honest it's the celebs who make or break it in terms of public appeal.

More than happy to change the judges, although I liked them a lot more in the 2009 tour event that I went to. They were much more good humoured and laid back.

You can't really call him a pro, because of his amateurish bumbling and antiquated style, but I could put up with everything and everyone else (even Len!) if they would only get rid of the appalling Bruce Forsyth.

LOL I've had 2 phone calls this afternoon asking if I'm after their jobs!!! Who am I to deny it? (Don't worry, it's not going to happen.)

Agreed! Personally speaking its the pros that keep me coming back year after year, one in particular but I wont go there again. The point is the celebs come and go, its the pros [and the presenters and judges I guess] that are the constants in that show. I know you're gonna have people that want to go of their own accord, but the ones that want to return should be encouraged to and not pushed out.

Ooooohhh intriguing!

I'm not sure I like the idea of them reading them, some have mean things said about them But its up to them...

I think Kristina read and posted while John was in the show with her.

Don't quote me on it but I think Flavia posted on here once putting the record straight about her and matt. Can anyone else remember that or have I just made it up ?

I agree with you mintchocchip, I think its very brave of the pro's to read this forum as there some really nasty things said on here sometimes !

I feel so ashamed that I have set back your recovery...............

Get well soon, and don't have any nightmares about THAT dance

Hmmm...I'm surprised any of the pro's go near the message boards tbh. I wouldn't actively seek out places where my friends and colleagues were casually insulted, derided and dismissed, would you? and I'd be even less inclined to read it if those dishing it out claimed to be fans of mine

But reading the 'appreciation' threads must give 'em a nice warm glow! I can't imagine anyone takes any of it too seriously.

I've always thought they must find the appreciation threads a tad on the creepy side
