This is good for JP, means he wont have to deal with any a horrendous guilt and can concentrate on getting Craig back.

So I guess now they've managed to keep him alive they'll be wanting him to stay and not leave with JP wont they??? Or did they peition for him to be saved so they could then campaign for him to leave with JP

I smelt a rat a while back re K's death and this, this feels like a master stroke to me - a final cap on a masterly campaign.

But I'm not up on these things - could be I'm just letting my cynicism get the better of me...

Well, I hope that they never had the intention to kill FK to begin with, then...because if a petition with 500 or so names on it could make HO change the sl, well, they are really pathetic. I have seen petitions with 10.000, 20.000 people signing, and not giving any effect.

I don't know if I'm happy that FK is not dying... I guess I wanted him dead, but maybe it's better for JPC, in the end!

hm, me too....I would really like to know how much of time and energy is spent planting spoilers, lurking on here () etc. all to keep the fans on our toes. it is really interesting i think.. would be really fun to hear BK's real view on all this..is he really this much of a PR genious??
But on the other hand we might be the only one who really cares so we might be over analyzing things just a tad...(not that we do that though, do we?)
And I'm with you on the whole K's death thing.. he hadnt even show on up on screen yet before we knew he would be JP's lover and that Nial would kill him, no he would kill himself etc etc...
One of the problems I have had with this whole SL (beside the simple fact you shouldnt get it on with priests and priests shouldn't claim to be in love with 19 year olds) has been that we've heard about this SL since sep last year. Right after Guy had left James said JP had a new relationship comming up and it took until like January before K even showed up...

I'm starting to sound bitter which I'm not 'cause I'm done with my paper, my internship and Craig is comming home (yes, he is! Trust me on this )!!!!

I think this is much better. I really dislike Kieron - especially after the Myra stuff last night, but this will keep both camps happy AND if Niall doesn't kill him, then we get to keep Niall for even longer (which makes me suspicious that K was gonna die anyway because Niall is an incredible character).

Hm they do? Well I haven't seen it from the scripts or the acting so I'm afraid I don't see this "great love" and hey we all know if they'd wanted to show it they could have done.

As far as the pairing having fans, well yes, Rhys/Beth had fans - don't think it has a huge bearing on the direction producers are going to take. And to be perfectly honest, JP is a much loved character that I think the majority of relationships he'd have would be popular.

Jess/Kris has ALOT of fans too, and they never ressurected that romance when Kris returned!

But what can they do with FK (or just K... he won't be a priest anymore!) when JP is no longer there? How can they keep him on the show? I can't see him staying... the only reasonable thing would be that after the fallout with JP, he is so disgraced that he leaves. What are they going to do with a former priest involved in a sex scandal? The death made more sense... if he is going to live, just to leave the show, is it really something the Kieronites can be happy about?

I'd like to say here and now that I never wanted Fr K dead - and I said it to anyone who'd listen - for the purely selfish reason that

1. I couldn't bear to see John Paul carry the guilt and

2. If he was killed or some such by Niall - we'd lose the character and I love him!!! ( Well love to hate him at the mo but hey!!!!)

I think, Francy, in terms of fanfic let's say, it's sort of important he lives. Look at it that way. I doubt he'll stay, but dying's pretty final isn't it?

afternoon all!! my take on the HSE - never gonna happen!!watching yesterday epi made me realise that even when theyre together - they're not together if that makes any sense?? its all about sex - theres no love involved, and how can there be from jps side???

I am so glad Lin just for those very reasons, really dont want JP to suffer like that and also Niall is one of my fave characters, really dont want him beyond redemption.........so if its a triangle BRING IT ON, thats all I can say

yep, so true. Even when JP and Craig was out in public, they where closer together than JP and K is when they're alone. This is ALL ABOUT sex..

Originally I didn't want FK dead for the exact same reasons Lin said... but then I got used to the idea! I'll have to get de-used!

But.... I DON'T WANT A BLOODY TRIANGLE! We have already been there..enough! And putting FK on the same level with Craig, having JP needing to make a choice between them is insulting, it's giving too much importance to this sleazy affair.

I guess, one way or the other, I'm really not going to have what I want from this sl! Oh, well.. I'm not in charge, what rights do I have? I don't even watch on tv, so I don't bring sponsors!

Have to confess I signed the petition - only the once though and not on behalf of my family, friends and pets Thought there were too many deaths happening already.

Wish I'd set up that Bring Back Spike petition now if they actually take notice of them but we decided to write and email as online petitions can be abused. Ho hum.
