I joined this forum at the beginning of Series 3 when these boards were a very different place, and SCD was a much smaller show!
Don't get me wrong, it's lovely that so many new posters have joined, and that SCD has become the monster (
) that it now is. But I was just reminiscing about the old days on this forum and on the show.
Remember the days when...
- There were only ever two pages of threads on the SCD board.
- It was possible to read every post on every thread and still get some work done.
- We were special enough to get invited to be an audience for It Takes Two!
- The board was blue, and the day it turned pink!
- There were so few members that each time a new member posted, they were personally welcomed by the others.
- The word smug was never used.
- There was no X-factor to rival SCD.
- Getting a 10 was like gold dust and only ever seen in a final.
- Even bad (but entertaining) dancers sometimes got through to the final without a national outcry.
Anyone else?
