Firstly, I have to confess to watching Ideal World more than is good for me. However, in October I was flicking through channels, and when I came to Ideal World saw two presenters I'd never seen before. About half way through the hour, someone else I didn't recognize took over.

Obviously, I can't be sure, but I have a very strong suspicion that they may have been next series' Apprentices.

Luckily, I've already forgotten their names and faces, so the series won't be spoiled for me, and I can't accidently spoil it for anyone else.

October? Wow they get it filmed that far in advance and still manage to keep things secretive - that's impressive.

Not really, they have to sign these "you say anything and we kill you" type contracts (well, near enough). I wouldn't be too willing to reveal anything.

Last year's series began filming late October, so perhaps the OP did she Apprentice candidates. However, wasn't a shopping channel task used in series 3?

Fantastic news, the shopping channel was my favourite episode and I was very disappointed there wasn't one in S4 Having said that I was far from surprised, after all it's always an unmitigated disaster (why I like it) and the company claims to lose thousands of pounds.

They made quite a few people redundant recently, so I expect they could do with an hour's help. They wouldn't do it if they lost money. It has made me stop now and then to review the tat they are trying to push, while channel hopping.

Ideal World is the one they always use so you are probably right. You were lucky to catch it .

I so hope they are doing the shopping channel this series it was definitely one of the highlights of series 3.

I also hope the director room girl with the fabulously scornful facial expressions is still working there, she was great whilst Simon was sitting there just not saying anything!

Well, I wasn't sure when i saw Idel World, but now I've seen the photographs of the candidates, and I definitely recognise a few, so I'll have to be careful not to let the cat out of the bag.

I was just thinking about James and recalled this thread. I so hope that he makes it to this task as I reckon his propensity for saying the first thing that pops into his head could lead to some comedy gold

Must have been The Apprentices! Surely this will become one of the flaws in keeping the identities of the fired candidates secret before this task?

I am not convinced that all is what it seems with this shoping task. If it really went out on air people would see it given the number that watch Ideal World and no one has.

The narrator said that they were on "prime-time" and the clock showed six o clock.

When presenting, one of the Apprentices did say something to the effect of "this morning" whilst talking to the audience.

I would guess that prime time for shopping channels is not the same as for normal channels. I doubt they get many viewers when Eastenders/BGT/Corrie etc are on!

I promise you, I saw this show (or some of it) go out last year. However, they don't announce that they are from The Apprentice. They just appear, give their names, present their lovely jackets, and go. So maybe that's why more people didn't a lot of people just didn't realise what they were seeing.

That was a countdown clock, counting down how long it was until the candidates went on air. It immediately switched from 6:00 to 5:59.

Yasmina said "thank you for allowing us into your homes this evening" at the start of her stint.
