Edman - sorry this is off topic, but I was hoping to find you......
you know a lot about music charts etc..... is there any published information for numbers of albums sold? I wanted to look up Sinead Quinns Ready to Run, it didnt do well initially but seems to still be selling? If you know of any useful websites with info would appreciate them.....

Melanie C - Yeh Yeh Yeh/Melt

What is this stupid bitch playing at?

The only half decent songs on the album are Home and Let's Love and she's chosen to release Melt?

I can see her being dropped soon.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - We're All Love

Can't the Jesus and Mary Chain sue these people?

Eagle-Eye Cherry - Skull Tattoo

An eminently unlikely song title for this man, isn't it?

Mark Owen - Alone Without You

A good song, I reckon, if a little naive. But isn't it Time someone did a dance remix of the King song of the same name? Surely!

Twilight Singers - Teenage Wristband

This is Greg Dulli ex Afghan Whigs. The other stuff I've heard under this guise is absolutely superb. Looking forward to this one.

UB40 feat. United Colours Of Sound - Swing Low

Carrie and David hit the mainstream? Wow.

Underworld - Born Slippy 2003

Sell outs.

Holly Valance - State Of Mind

Very dull song.

Johnny Cash - Hurt

Hasn't this been out for months?

Matt Goss - I'm Comin' With Ya

Michael Howard leads the Tories and one of Bros releases a solo single. What the hell is going on? Have to say, though - Are You Mine? is a very good pop song.

Kylie Minogue - Slow

Dull song. And the vido is totally wrong: it's a sultry electro number, but the video is all summery. Doesn't work at all.

Ozzy & Kelly Osbourne - Changes

LOL

Blue - Guilty

Very ppor. I thought the whole idea with this lot was that they weren't the average boyband, wrote their own material occasionally, etc. This could have been recorded by any boyband. It's bland, forgettable and irritating. All Rise and One Love were both cracking singles.

Abs - 7 Ways

Quite like this.

Outkast - Hey Ya

Good song - great video.

Marti Pellow - A Lot of Love

Is this a cover?

Primal Scream - Some Velvet Morning

Isn't there a Verve song called Another Velvet Morning? Hmmm. This lot looked dreadful on Woss the other day. They should re-record You're Just Dead Skin To Me.

Finley Quaye - Dice

Go away, mate.

Britney Spears featuring Madonna - Me Against The Music

A grower - but it's not quite Cry Me A River, is it? Still, the prospect of Britney actually producing half-decent music is appealing.

Evan Dando - It Looks Like You

Glad he got a deal. His Wake Up In New York track on Craig Armstrong's last album was great.

Wyclef Jean & Missy Elliot - Party To Damascus

Dreadful, but amazing that anywhere in the MIddle East is mentioned in an American song.

Lemar - 50/50

Looking forward to hearing this.

Shane Ritchie - I'm Your Man

Is this the Leonard Cohen song? Who would have predicted this five or six years ago? Howard leading the Tories, and that brash and irritating quiz-show host Shane Ritchie the nation's darling, releasing Leonard Cohen covers for charity. Very strange.

Blue featuring Stevie Wonder & Angie Stone - Signed, Sealed, Delivered

Will be a monster hit. Looking forward to hearing this, despite what I said about them above and the obvious cash-in nature of this. Angie Stone is a class act.

Luther Vandross - Dance With My Father

Title doesn't exactly make me want to rush out and buy it.

Craig David - You Don't Miss Your Water

Nor that.

Anyone want to confirm?

TheHits TV today started playing 'Christmas Is All Around' by Billy Mack. Billy Mack is a character from the 'Love Actually' film played by Bill Nighy. The song is a sendup of the Wet Wet Wet song 'Love Is All Around'. The Wets song is from the film '4 Weddings & A Funeral' which starred Hugh Grant who also appears in 'Love Actually'.
Anyway the video copies Robert Palmer with a backing band of girls.........but dressed in Santa helper costumes. As Robert Palmer passed away recently, I am unsure if this is good taste. Above says it is released on Dec 15 so it will be interesting to see if it catches the public imagination.
