I am so stuck with what phone to buy. I was almost certain about the Blackberry Bold, but then I took a video on my current N82 today at 30fps, and realised that I'd miss that on the BB Bold. Of course trying to find out what fps the BB Bold can do was nearly impossible, as they don't even mention on their own site! It seems to be 15fps though. Anyway, that along with the fact that I'll be forced to pay for a data bundle I don't even want, is really putting me off the BB Bold. It's a shame because everything else about it was good, and there was one package from O2 I was considering. Oh I just remembered, there's no radio either.
So I'm back to what I had previously wanted, which is the Nokia N85. However, that still cannot even be bought for crying out aloud! Not as part of a contract anyway, unless I risk getting a non-UK model and being stuck with Orange for 18 months by going to a third party dealer.
All I can find is the overpriced Nokia N96 that would be a waste, as most agree the N85 is better and if anyone sold it, would be cheaper.
I've wondered about the Nokia N95 8MB but is it really worth going from my N82 to that? It'd like the bigger screen but would feel like I'm going backwards. I really wanted a QWERTY keyboard but want as big a screen as possible, and I have large fingers so the screen and keypad on the Nokia E71 are a bit small. I've also decided after advice on here, that I should stick to Symbian rather than move to Windows.
So at the moment I don't have a clue what I'll get. I'm just thinking aloud here really! LOL. If I could handle a touch screen I'd have a better idea, but I text and email a lot so really want proper keys, and QWERTY if possible. If not QWERTY though I'd at least like decent 'normal' keys (my N82's keys are pretty bad). It would also be nice to have better emailing software than my N82 has. I don't know if it's any better on the newer Nokia phones???
