Hi - was just wondering if the deals that are on the net/tv about the promise of a free laptop with a new contract mobile are genuine ? Do you end up signing for the 2 year contract and never actually receiving the laptop due to technicalities and small print ? Was hoping to get one, but am spoilt for choice if it's the real deal ?!

You do get the lap top but you end up paying well over the odds for it

Nothing is really free with these types of deals. You're just paying for the laptop in installments and tied into a long contract, after which the phone and the laptop will probably both be obsolete.

Generally you end up paying around £500 for a £300 laptop. Just that youre spreading the payments out over 2 years instead of upfront.
