iPod Touch - I kinda broke it
Insomniac90

The other day I accidently knocked my iPod Touch of the table and it fell onto a hard floor, which I think must have messed up the LCD screen as the white background when selecting music is more purple. Also some features like the calculator do not work.

I've had a look around on the net about getting it repaired but i really am stumped as to what to do, the Apple website is no help at all, maybe I should phone them up?

Anyone know where/how to get it fixed?

If there is an Apple store close to you, you can make an appointment to have it looked at via the Apple website. If they think the problem is caused by accidental damage, they may not offer to fix it under warranty (assuming it still is under warranty).

I doub't apple would do more than look at the device, its down to user error not the device itself so they may just say no upon hearin what happend. But hey don't let that put you off see if u can get help

If the touch has no visible signs of being dropped like a cracked case or chipped then I would take it back to apple and plead ignorance and get it replaced under warranty

Get yourself a good case that will cushion the device in the future from hard impacts. I use an older iPod video slipped into a flip top leather case that has plenty of cushion and I drop my ipod all the time and no damage in 3 years. The ipod itself outside of the case looks brand new.
