A few of my favourites are Ratatouille, Casino Royal, 3:10 to Yuma and Ironman.

PQ/audio is fantastic on them all, but the 7.1 PCM soundtrack on 3:10 to Yuma is absolutely superb.

I've just had notification from Play that Batman - Dark Knight has just been despatched, 4 days early.......yippee.

Last night I watched Mamma Mia! on my new Sony BDP 350 machine.

Its a WOW!!!!

Picture detail in the night scenes are just unbelievable!

Was also able to hear the DTS Sountrack via my yamaha amplifier.

Blu Ray is here to stay!!

Have just ordered online 4 blu ray movies, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk (2008 version) X-Files, I Want To Believe, and wait for it Rambo 2

Buying direct from play.com or amazon online is a lot cheaper than the shops.

Hope you did not pay too much for Rambo 2.

All 3 of the earlier Rambo films are available on region free US Blurays for £7.99 each

well tomconti. i got Rambo 2 for free cos amazon is doing a great offer at the mo, buy 3 and pay for 2 which is what I did.

By the way friends, thanks for your kind comments on my choice of movies, am a movie buff and have been since 1953 when I saw Peter Pan at the young age of 6.

Some great offers around at the mo, try play.com and recheck out amazon.

Hulk was good, especially in blu-ray. X-Files was awful. Picture on the X-Files blu-ray's not up to much either.

Looks like we are in for a treat - the reviews say it's one of the best yet on BD.

What is unusual is two aspect ratios have been used in the filming, 2.35:1 for the run of the mill scenes and 1.78:1 for the big action scenes. The cameras used for the full scene sequences were courtesy of IMAX.

The audio is also very spectacular, good use of all channels where the separation/placement is second to none, it is also very bassy.

Popcorn is on order for this one.

We watched this the other day, I didn't think I was going to enjoy it that much but I did.

We were able to listen to the full DTS HD MA soundtrack, it was fantastic. From the opening song it had me jigging in my seat right to the very end.

This is definitely a feel good movie - highly recommended.

So far it's Iron Man - as it's the only one I've seen (we've only had the HD TV and Blu-ray player since Tuesday )

Film was amazing - almost 3D in places

Have been lent Mamma Mia, but my husband won't share the joy with me, so will probably save it until Mum's with us for Christmas

If its 3D you want Journey to the centre of the earth is a good movie to get its stunning in 3D and it provides you with the glasses as well and its very cheap from play.com

Morning all!!

Judging by your comments, I am going to buy Dark Knight on Blu-Ray next week.

Sounds a great movie, and I didnt even bother to go to the movies to see it.

Batman Begins looks and sounds great on Blu-Ray too!

have a lovely day!
