Is it safe
The OH and I bought some fresh sausage and froze it. My question is, is it safe to grill it from frozen or should we defrost it first?. Any thoughts please.

As long as they are cooked through properly you should be fine. However, cooking them through using a grill when they are frozen is not the easiest thing in the world. You'd find it easier to either defrost them overnight in the fridge or just chuck them in the microwave to defrost them before putting under the grill.

Fine to grill, fry or bake sausage from frozen.
Just don't do it too hot and too fast or you'll have a black outside and frozen inner. I prefer fresh but I always have a big bag of frozen for quick fry-ups etc. |

We often freeze sausage as we buy them all up when they are reduced. yes you can cook from frozen as mentioned above gently, however mostly we prefer to defrost / thaw them out first.

If i'm going to fry frozen sausages then I defrost them in the microwave.
For cheapo stuff 2mins at 30% turn 1min at 30% For good sausages (obviously a shame to have them frozen but better than chucking them out) around 5mins at 10% then check them Otherwise I do them through the oven at 180. Our oven has a grill so if you want more colour you can stick that on aswell. |

Thanks Peeps. I think i'll go for the defrost option to be on the safe side. Again thanks for your advice.

I boil from frozen, and then brown in a frying pan. I don't know if this is naughty or not though, but I'm still alive.
