Jon Tickle ..BRAINIAC
Sky mag
Thursday 13th November sky one 8pm NEW The unlikely presenting duo of petrolhead Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond and Big Brother geek Jon Tickle ( making his presenting debut, left) front this new fast paced fooling about with science show that blows a raspberry to the stiff upper lip tomorrows world style of Tv experiments and generally blows things up for laughs from giant stunts like filling a reservoir with jelly and riding a bike across it to quarky smaller scale experiments like freezing a banana with liquid nitrogen and seeing if it can be used as a hammer, its the way science classes should of been at school. Its not about having a lab says Jon its all about getting out there and doing your own experiments to find something out about the world. Theres also the tantalising promise of a celebrity experiment each week too. Mr Tickle will surely be in his element. --------------------------- Sorry no scanner so i cant do a pic

Perhaps both susann and I could do it in case one of us forgets. |

Sky Magazine - November Issue Jon's tickled pink Quote:
Jon Tickle is staying loyal to his data manager job despite the allure of showbiz work since he emerged from the Big Brother4 House. "I worked 12 hours a day last week, and I'm going out with the housemates and doing book signings." Has anyone here acess to the customer zone on sky.com?
Life's not too jam-packed to fit in his first presenting job though, as the resident expert on new fooling-around-with-science show. Brainiac: Science Abuse (Thursdays from Thu 13, 8pm, Sky One). One planned stunt will have him up to his neck in it: "There's talk of seeing if I can walk across a pool of custard," he says. But presenting has drawbacks too: "I still need the toilet every time I'm on camera!, he laughs. Go to the Customer Zone on sky.com for more on Mr. Tickle |

I think anyone can access this zone tamara, I'm with NTL not sky but I still managed to get in. It dosen't seem like you need an account number or anything like that.

The search function doesn't locate anything for either Braniac or Jon Tickle.

I can't find anything on Brainiac or Jon either,
maybe it just hasn't been updated yet. The good thing is it looks like Brainiac is taking over the time slot of that awful programme little monsters.

I'm just thinking - doesn't the magazine come out in advance of the shows it's discussing? They'll probably update the website with a Brainiac feature closer to the launch date.

This is all I could find from their press releases page dated today. Quote:
In Brainiac, crazy chemicals and exciting experiments combine as never seen before on TV to give a whole new slant on the science lab – forget boring bunsen burners and the table of elements, this is science as total entertainment and includes guest presenter Jon Tickle of Big Brother fame.

If anyone comes across with articles in magazines and newspapers... can everybody help out posting them? |
