From Cameron's own column in this week's Sunday Post ...

''Would you believe the number of failed asylum seekers who later win appeals to stay in Britain rose from 1200 in 1996 to 14,000 last year?

Remember, these people have already failed to convince the immigration authorities they were genuine cases. Can you comprehend that Britain now takes 23 per cent of all economic migrants entering the EU?
£1.8 billion
Does it stun you to discover that just to process all the asylum applications costs British taxpayers £1.8 billion every single year? .......

Every other week I seem to read about the huge debt the average Brit is in .....Yet week after week, month after month, we welcome thousands of people into this country, then offer them a small share of the wealth we quite clearly do not have. We’re a soft touch and I’m fed-up with it ....

The Government claim immigrants enhance our lives with their diversity of culture, yet many of them choose not to integrate and all that does is breed racism and distrust. They argue that allowing more in will benefit our economy. That’s all very well, but will the extra contributions they make to the Exchequer be invested into our already over-stretched schools, hospitals and roads? Come to think of it, where will they live? Isn’t there a drastic shortage of housing in Britain? ...'

There's more here ....

Anyone want to start up the DS alternative to the Hello Jon thread - "F**k Off Cameron"?

Cameron appears to get nastier with each passing week. What happened to 'Love Thy Neighbour' or does he only quote the Old Testament when it happens to agree with his reactionary politics ?

Originally preached by Cameron

"The Government claim immigrants enhance our lives with their diversity of culture, yet many of them choose not to integrate and all that does is breed racism and distrust.
He's a sanctimonious ****.

Spouting out all the unintelligent, misinformed racist bigotry that's been said a thousand times before.

This is the kind of role model that wants to get a job being a TV evangelicist...At the same time spreading the kind of disguised hatred that parties like the Bnp do.

There's no defending this fu*king nutter now.

This wide eyed boy who's supposed to have led a reasonably isolated existence on the Orkneys,..now seems to think he knows about issues that affect mainland Britain.

Now he's telling us what's good for us.

Who's this "many of them" who choose not to integrate? .....many meaning what?....20?.......10 000?....Does he really have the facts at hand about this?
If he's supposed to live a fairly remote existence on the orkney's, what experience does he really have of all this?

Is it true that this group of "many of them" choose not to integrate with people?....If it is,..does Cameron even consider the reasons why that may be?..Could the truth be that they are shit scared of such open hostility displayed to them, such as the article above by Cameron.
He's not exactly laid down the welcome mat for them.

I think I would feel a bit cautious of people if met with an attitude such as Cameron's.

And would Cameron like to further elaborate on his statement that this group of "many of them" he speaks of, if they don't integrate, it's them who are breeding racism and distrust? Are these supposed to be facts that he is referring to?..Or just another example of these opinions of his he spoke of, that he doesn't know why he has them, but he'll think about the reasons for them later?

He speaks of racism.
Has he read his own article?
Who's going to want to come forward and integrate with people like him?

I always disliked him mainly due to his narrow minded way of thinking, and much of my pisstaking was not much more than that, just an exaggerated way of expressing dislike.
But now I see how far his intolerance of difference can go,..I can quite easily despise him if he is projecting ideas based upon hate, and shrouding them with a gloss of distorted, fake morality..

Accusing immigrants of breeding racism and distrust
These are the opinions that your extreme right wing BNP candidate will try to sell to you.
This is the guy who wants to be a presenter of religious programmes on television,.and is already writing whatever self induldgent bitter spite spews from his fat fu*king face in various articles.
I just remember this lovely image of Cameron that was projected to me for weeks,..but I read that article above and see a very different person.
I can't believe that iain didn't believe that Cameron had violent thoughts in his hateful mind,..and that Cameron wasn't so bad. For all we know he could probably well be worse, the way this article reads..

What a great ambassador for BB,..what a wonderful role model,...he'll be lovely to you.....as long as you fit into his ideal of what a person should be.

What a sanctimonious bigoted ****.

It was only a matter of time before he put his big foot in his even bigger mouth, och Camoron!
The scales have finally dropped for all to see his magnificence.
This is why I don't like him, things like this.
Horrid man.

Such a sweet man, oh how I wish I could have the opportunity to hurl all of the above abuse at him, to his face. Thank god the paper has relieved him of his crap column. Hopefully he'll go back to selling fish now seeing as that was always his intention (cough, wink).

Goodbye Cameron, Hello Jon Tickles back soon

Seems like some of us were right to brand him a smug bigoted reactionary with an ego problem and unresolved anger.
What a totally disgusting advertisement he is for born-again Christianity.

OMG - I've just seen the entire piece, and that he's quoting the figures from the two right-wing loony obsessives who run Migration Watch, and whose organisation provides the 'facts' and 'figures' for the bnp to fire at the nation. Their site is an outrageously inaccurate collection of random numbers - some contradicting others - shaped into pure fascist polemic.

I can't believe it! I thought this guy was supposed to be educated?

How on earth would someone who lives on Orkney (Iraqi and Afghan and Somali immigration nil) know anything about a multicultural society or the integration behaviour of refugeees to the UK?

HOW DARE HE!!!!

why should I defend this?

i'm not here to defend everything cameron does or says you know. if he's going to spout crap like that, then I'm certainly not going to defend it.

I can't wait for "disnaespeakmuch" to come on and try to defend this one. As I've already posted, you can't really defend the indefensible can you?

what have i got to do with it? why should I agree with it or defend him?

you know perfectly well I've posted stuff on this topic before - and certainly nothing that should make you think i'd be agreeing with Cameron.

just because I've kind of defended him on some things, doesn't mean I have to defend every nuance of what he says or does.

thats a bizarre leap of logic to make on your part, surely?

Hi Iain....you well know why I've mentioned you here....many times we have sparred over Cameron's behavior...It's a fairly open and shut case this time.....I think at last we can be in total agreement..... ......To believe all that nonsense about the Asylim issue is one thing, but to actively spread it is something else......
