Has it been released? Is there a video? It's barely on the radio. What's going on?

It's been released but has had NO promotion whatsoever so I doubt it will do well as nobody even knows it's been released

I think it's probably already peaked - at #39. The least they could've done was stick the performance from the Hard Candy promotional tour out as a video but they didn't even bother with that.

Hardly...it's in the radio airplay top 10. The fact is noone wants to buy it...and with no physical single even if they wanted to they couldn't. Bad move by Madge's record label.

I actually bought the physical release of Miles Away - I got it in HMV about 2 weeks ago. I'm surprised that it only peaked at #39. Especially as there has been a physical release too!

No, she's only had 6 top 10s in a row, but it does break her record of top 20s

I haven't even heard it. Why hasn't she promoted it with a video or anything?!

I get a kind of feeling that 'Hard Candy' was Madonna's 'last stand', a kind of "f**k you I'm 50", and that from now on she's only going to release music she feels like.

I like it, its a great song.

Weird how its not doing well in the charts, yu would have thought it would get great airplay jsut on Madges name alone. Maybe the recent bad press re the divorce has killed her in the UK.

Its hard to predict what will be a hit nowadays.

Personally it's my 2nd favourite track on the album after Give It 2 Me. Shame, it should be top 10

To be honest I think she's only been releasing music she feels like since the early 90s.

I'm sure I'll get shot down for this but personally I don't think many of her albums have had too much of a commercial feel to them since the 1980s. Maybe Ray of Light is the exception. Fortunately this has been a good thing for me.

Ermm all of Madonnas albums are commercial fit with the times pieces or work!

Love Profusion stalled at #11 in 2004.

Then she had 6 top tens in a row with:
Hung Up
Sorry
Get Together
Jump
4 Minutes
Give it 2 Me

Love Profusion ruined a longer period of top tens. Before that she had a run that dated back to 1996. It's her first to miss top 20 since 1984 though with Borderline (and even that peaked at #2 when it was re-released at a later date.)

Confessions helped save her carere imo it was one of her best albums for a long time since Music lets be honest i dont think she cares where her 3 and 4th single goes top 10 or not cause she has already had 2 hits with Hard Candy

Save her career? Madonna doesn't need to make music, she has plenty of things to do.

Wow I knew it would be you!

As I said, it is my view. And I said they don't 'feel' commerical. Music, American Life, Bed Time stories, Erotica... have tracks on them that are not commerical. they may have been commerically successful, but they depart the mainstream pop of the time that other singers were churning out.

best

Madonnas biggest top 10 chart run was between 1984-1994 when she had 35 straight top 10 hits

But its her lowest charting hit since Borderline reaced #54 in 1984
