I have taken the plunge and decided to take virgin's offer of £12 a month for an LG KS550 and 150/150. called vodafone and asked for PAC code and also the unlock code for my sony ericsson k750i so i can unlock it and use as a backup should I need to, i was also going to transfer my contacts from the sony via the sim card. The man at vodafone told me i had to put the virgin sim in the sony and it would ask for the unlock code, which i of course have, but it doesnt do that, it just says put the correct sim card in, so it wont work.

also i have tried to bluetooth the contacts over but it only does one at a time even though i have set it to transfer all, any ideas on both problems please?

Try this http://www.expansys.com/ft.aspx?k=51438

It suggest turning your phone off and putting it into Flight Mode then follow the steps. Power down and power up again and the Virgin SIM should work. I got mine done at the market, cost me £20 to unlock an Orange branded K750i, works with all SIMs. Still have it. It is a handy backup phone.

The other way of transferring your contacts would be to sync them to your PC using the software that came with the K750i, if not then you should be able to download it somewhere. Load the software for your new phone and then sync the the contacts across. The SIM way is probably easier though.
