I agree, lisa jive was shocking, really bad! i was shocked, she was so overmarked on that!

I (think I) know what you mean. I've never minded him when he speaks, but his dancing had me scaling the walls . I think he pulled it out of the bag tonight - despite the 'hyper' rumba .

Are we on for a 10.30ish result then?

And what will I do next saturday without you lot to chat to! The other forum I use is quiet on a Saturday night No one to share my nuts with

Evening all! Not sure what I thought tonight. Very strange marking going on. Not sure the blatant 'we now want Rachel in the final' tactic is going to work or not. Am sure Craig is the only one who marks what he sees without a game plan.

I reckon...

4 Rachel
3 Tom
2 Lisa
1 Austin

4 Austin
3 Tom
2 Rachel
1 Lisa

6 Tom
6 Rachel
------------------
5 Austin
3 Lisa

Austin out

Well for the first time ever (as in in 6 series!) I got an engaged tone when voting from a mobile tonight so it seems his lines may be quite busy at points.

i think its been a "i want lisa in the final" with the judges, over marked often

Come on Austin!”

Agree totally about Rachel.

I thought the music choice for V & R's tango was ghaaaaaaastly, and I thought there was very little content in their chaaaaa chaaaaaaaa chaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.... but I would appreciate someone with real experience to let me know what they thought.

Also, the camera work for the show is simply dreadful. You can't see the whole body dancing often enough - just all feet or all top halves....means you can't really get a flavour of the dance properly and distorts the vision. Bah!

Thought Craig was pretty fair again, tho'.”

as a ballroom/latin dancer, i know that her cha cha had plenty of content, that would be good enough content-wise for a judging panel. However the Tango had very little content and was mostly about the performance.

Lisa's Jive was severly undermarked the kicks and flicks were a little too flexed but no more so than Christine's and I think C got a higher mark for her Jive than Lisa.

But Tom's Rumba, wow the whole point of the Rumba is to tell the story and sizzle there really isn't too much to put in a Rumba.

I thought Tom's rumba was very sexy..... but the music was very sensous....more like the cocktail.."Slow comfortable etc etc"!! But the dance was actually rather more a frentic "Sex on the beach" type of cocktail....

Plainly I am begging for another drink.....

Nice dance, wrong music, or nice music, wrong dance.....

(on behalf of OH): Rachel is expressionless, and tonight made fundamental technical errors. Her tango was over-marked for someone who nearly fell over, her cha-cha was diabolical, there was no passion in her tango, and the cha-cha is supposed to be a cheeky flirty dance, 'nuff said. Let's hope she loses in the dance-off.

So you keep saying,
but that is your opinion certainly not mine.

Hmm...there was certainly a lack of any classic chassi's or fans in the routine, which i think shows the cha-cha off to best, they show better ability to master the dance, give greater emphasis of the correct hip placement, so the complexity of the routine...i still question. It was greatly repetitive...usage of same steps, and simple steps also!

well actually its a fact that in dance terms it was bad, whether you enjoyed it or not is a matter of opinion.

Well its all down to us . think the dance off will be between Austin and Lisa , Austin looks tired so I am thinking the unthinkable at the beginning of the series that he will be pushed into touch!

Hey there The tension's hurtled up this week. Dancing question to an expert.

Austin's Salsa. There was a lot of talk from the judges on ITT this week about Austin's arms, his guns, and him not being able to make the "daisy chain" thingy, which is obviously my description of it. But I didn't see him being stiff with what he did of that in the routine. Here's the question, wasn't there an awful lot of Samba in that Salsa? Maybe it's just me but I thought Erin's choreography really let Austing down this week.

You lot are nuts if you think the judges are manipulating the scores to put their 'favourites' through to the final.

If that was the case Austin wouldn't be bottom of the leader board now!

Based on the fact that Tom and Austin seem to get more votes with the public than Lisa and Rachel, I would say that Tom is the only one who is not a possibility for the dance off tonite....
I think hes likely to be first or second with the gbp giving him 6 or 7 total......

Lisa is a certainty for the dance off and the only question is who goes against her....if its Austin then she is safe, if its Rachel, then Lisa is out.....

If they are truly marking on the dance they see I think they have to keep Lisa in in this situation even though people like Austin's performances.

no actually. My dance is the Jive. I've been dancing it for 25 years. The hunched shoulders is understandable because of the height "problem" but if you looked at Brendan he was also hunched. I can't say how hard would be to learn at her height, because I am only 4ft 11.
